Peanut Butter and Homework Sandwiches - Lisa Broadie Cook,Jack E. Davis

This book is about a class that has a very strict substitute teacher. The little boy named Martin has trouble keeping track with his homework. Everyday it is something new and he has to sit out while the rest of the class gets to play and have fun. Finally his teacher returns and assigns an awesome homework assignment with the chance to take home the class spider for the weekend. I would use this book as an example of how to be responsible and to turn your work in on time. It is leveled 740 L.

Peanut Butter & Cupcake review
Peanut Butter & Cupcake - Terry Border

Peanut Butter and Cupcake is an adorable book about friendship. I would use this in my early elementary classroom. This book teaches that you can be friends with everybody even though everybody is different. I would use this book for Kindergarten - 2nd grade. The guided reading level is K and the Lexile level is 750L.

Peanut Butter and Jelly For Two
Peanut Butter and Jelly For Two - Jackie Nacht ~ Review by PizzyGirl

Peanut Butter and Jelly for Two by Jackie Nacht is an adorable shifter tale. It sets up a world where shifters of all kinds can live together and not feel abnormal. Each human shifter portrays traits of their animal counterpart including family structure and, as in Phillip the chipmunks case, hoarding tendencies. The story was a quick, easy read that was full of humor and very little angst. Jackie Nacht has developed a shifter world that is different than most, with shifters having to search for their mate just like humans. In addition, shifters do not heal with the change and need doctors/dentists for both the human and animal sides.

In addition to the creative world she presented, Ms. Nacht did a great job with the growing relationship between the two main characters...

Peanut Butter and Jelly For Two
Peanut Butter and Jelly For Two - Jackie Nacht The lack of being able to cook really humanized an otherwise supernaturally tinged story. It was like a boy meets boy story in the world of all things funky, and the comparison made it both humorous and enjoyable. I loved the way Nacht made all the little quirks of the shaper culture seem so commonplace, as if their world were simply the real world with all the struggles and mishaps a normal human would face.
