Findings: An Illustrated Collection - Rafil Kroll-Zaidi,Graham Roumieu

Not exactly what I expected. I was not familiar with the column, but the promise of short pieces about interesting and sometimes weird research did appeal to me.

But these entries were all very short (to be fair, there is a big reference list at the end of the book). Each entry is accompanied by a sketch. I was reading it on my eReader so I can't be completely sure, but I think it's about one on each page.

Although some of the research sounded genuinely weird and interesting, I found all the entries a bit too short and the book was over before I knew it. With only 50 or so pages, it's really short. Too short perhaps to spend money on, since I think I spent less than half an hour reading it. Perhaps it does appeal more to fans of the column, though probably in that case you'll have heard of most of the research already.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
