Domain (Rats #3) James Herbet
Domain - James Herbert

The long-dreaded nuclear conflict. The city torn apart, shattered, its people destroyed or mutilated beyond hope. For just a few, survival is possible only beneath the wrecked streets - if there is time to avoid the slow-descending poisonous ashes. But below, the rats are waiting.

To think this was first Published in 1984! I remembered for some time in the 80s, there was a panic to London and most of England, that England and America was going to go into nuclear war with Russia. James Herbert the English Horror king, he is. Tapped in to this, and the produced domain in all its Apocalyptic Horror!

The rats are back! Big angry frenzied horrible Rats. The cunning critters that can climb up a toilet if they wanted to and bite your bum Ew!!

But this time they are hardcore! they resisted the last attempt to wipe them out by humans, but there back because there world is now fucked, and its up to what is left of good old cockneys to survive not only the fall out but also the Killer Rat's!

True to form Not only has Herbert laid down his third instalment to his "Rats" series, but he blew my mind while doing it. A brilliant final part To the Rats trilogy with tons of settings in London and plots. I'm honestly quite sad it's the end to what was a great trilogy.

Lair James Herbert (Rats trilogy 2)
Lair - James Herbert

The mutant white rat had grown and mated, creating offspring in its own image. They dominated the others, the dark-furred ones, who foraged for food and brought it back to the lair. Now the dark rats were restless, and the white slug-like thing that ruled them remembered the taste of human flesh.

Nothing quite like reading a book where the whole plot is based just outside your doorstep! Apart from that, this book blew my mind. This is the second installment of James Herberts "The Rats" based five years later, after the carnage the rats caused in London they are back.. Bigger and bolder and much more cunning than before.

Hands down James Herbert is top of the list as my favorite horror Authors his book "The Fog" was the first horror book I ever read and scared the hell out of me. But I loved it! I knew by reading this wasn't going put it down. Just like  the Fog and the Rats before it.

I love  how Herbert put's little sub stories into his tales as well, making you hate or root for his characters in this case I wanted a really Nasty flasher who was a teacher to get his dick bitten off by a Rat. I won't say what happens but all the way Reading it, I was like C'mon Rats get him! And that's Jame's style. He's the kind of author that makes you talk for weeks at work ect about his book's. Anyways if you ever find the time, please read the Fog or the Rat's or just any of Herbert's book's as he really is one of the best.
