Review: Fish & Chips (Cut & Run #3) by Abigail Roux and Madeleine Urban
Fish & Chips - Abigail Roux,Madeleine Urban

One of my favorites of this series. So many favorite moments to quote... Ty coming closer and closer in telling Zane.... I loved them fake-married.

Someday I'll come around in posting a proper review but for now....
*rushes to #4

“Any reason why we couldn’t just ditch the condoms from now on?”

“You ask because…?”

“Because there hasn’t been anyone but you in a long time. And I don’t think there will be.”

“Good,” Zane whispered, his thumb brushing Ty’s bottom lip. “I’ve… felt that way… for a while now."

“I know.”

I've listened to 30% and
Wizard and Glass: The Dark Tower, Book 4 - Stephen King,Simon & Schuster Audio,Frank Muller

I am ditching this audio re-read of Wizard and Glass. This narrator is just not for me.

I'm going to go ahead and reserve the next book in the series, because the narration goes back to George Guidall. He did the audiobook of The Gunslinger and I just loved it. I will leave my rating  as it stands: at 4 stars as I did so love this book.

Review: Married for a Month by Cate Ashwood
Married for a Month - Cate Ashwood

Cate Ashwood is kinda of a miss of or a win for me. But this totally worked for me.
It's because I'm a sucker for the fake husband trope , I think but who cares. Combine this trope with a friends-to-lovers story and I'm a goner.

Chase and Alec have been friends forever. Both of them reluctant for any seriously relationship. Having casual relationships work fine for the both of them. But that doesn't mean either of them couldn't hold a relationship.

"Single by choise."

"Marriage is easy. You give up on life and sit around in sweatpants, ordering takeout and watching reality TV.”

One night at the bar they are challenged to show their friends how good they are in keeping a marriage work.

They get fake married. Living and sleeping in the same place. How hard could it be?

Until it doesn't feel like being just friends at all.

“And when this ends, I don’t know how we’re going to go back. Knowing everything I know now, I don’t know if I can go back. I don’t want to go back.”

I really enjoyed this story. Nothing spectacular. Just a sweet, funny story about two friends falling in love.

Review: Broken by Nicola Haken
Broken - Nicola Haken
“I, um…” I squeeze my eyes closed and rub my face to make sure I haven’t dreamt it. “I just got fucked by David Gandy.”

Great start, right? Cause who wouldn't want that?

So the visual for James, I could live with. :)

Right... Vocus.. Story...

This was a serious story, beautifully written about a broken man. James has been diagnosed with bi polar. His struggle felt so real and you just see the train wreck rolling....
His relationship with Theo was beautiful and I felt so happy for James for allowing himself to maybe be happy this time in his life. Theo was so encouraging, determined to help James.

"Stay with me, Theodore. No matter how hard I push, stay with me. Believe in me."

This story tore my heart out. I was rooting for James and crying for him, also for Theo when he really got confronted with this terrible desease. Feelings as not "why was I not enough" broke me.

But Theo never gave up on James.

I don't want to reveal much more of their journey without spoiling too much so I'll just end with these beautiful words from Theo about James;

"I fell in love with you at your worst. I've had some of the best times of my life with you at, as you say, your worst. So I can't even imagine how special life will be when I get to experience your BEST."

*Bless him

This book goes right to my favorite shelf and I'll definitely will be revisiting this book again.

Review: Switched by N.R. Walker
Switched - N.R. Walker

* 5 AYE AYE Captain stars*

You know those books you wanna start re-reading the moment you finished? Well this was one like it. I think I read some parts 3 times already!!!

I loved everything about this book. Felt so sad for Israel for growing up that way, being unatached from his parents.... And then on top of that one day he's told he was switched at birth.!! It's all so confusing for him for now he thinks it wasn't his fault that makes him so inadequate. He was born in the wrong family. His parents really deserved another son.

And then there's Sam. Sam, his longtime BFF. They have a beautiful friendship and Sam is really Israel's rock in everything. When I read the scene when Iz meet his birth mother, I needed a lot of tissues. It was so emotional to read about Israe's realisation that his life would've been so different when growing up in this family....

Israel also realises he's so depended of Sam. Whatever life brings him, Sam is his first thought. It was so great to see Israël realise his feelings for Sam were so much more than friendship.

The building up was.... pheeeuw The moment when Sam and Israel came together for the first time was hilarious and about 65%. So you'll have to wait for the first kiss but it's definitely worth the wait cause they were freaking hot together!!

“There’s nothing about you I don’t know. The best parts, the worst parts; we’re through all that. I was watching you, thinking ‘That’s my best friend,’ except things just got a whole lot better.” He shrugged. “It’s like Monopoly. We passed Go, collected $200, skipped all the shitty property, and landed straight on Mayfair.”

I laughed. “Is that right?”

“Yep. And you wanna know the other best part?”

“I’m starting to think no, no I don’t.”

He grinned and told me anyway. “You already know what I like to eat for breakfast and you can get up and make it for me.” He sprang off the bed like a cat and walked to the door. “Come on Iz, I’m hungry.”

Perfect Friends-to-lovers-story!!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
