Werewolves are fiercely monogamous and deer have trouble understanding the concept of exclusivity and then there’s the fact that wolves eat deer in the wild. Can Nix and Tippy find a happily ever after?

This novella is a sweet but passionate and pretty darn cute. The characters are strong and thoroughly charming in their own unique way as they navigate everything that stands in the way of their relationship. The chemistry is undeniable and sizzles with lots electrical chemistry that singes readers with its intensity and the intimate scenes are blazing hot, so while this romance is on the short side, it fulfills all readers expectations of what they enjoy from the ‘Rolling Thunder MC’ members.

Not only has Gonzo had to come to terms with the loss of his entire family, but he also barely survived being shot in the chest multiple times and later turned into a werewolf during a vicious attack. While Constance’s own losses are nowhere near as bad as Gonzo’s, they’ve left her mark on her as well. Gonzo doesn’t trust women and he’s a biker that people corss the road to avoid while Constance has multiple degrees and works as research scientist and has no use for men, but yet they find that they are both working toward the same goals.

This romance has sparks flying and emotions gripping readers by their hearts throughout as it holds readers captive. Gonzo and Constance are strong characters that readers can easily connect to and whom have a some serious chemistry going on between them but this relationship has some obvious drawbacks that keep it in suspense until the very end as readers wonder if they can form a team and do what must be done.

Thrilling suspense keeps the anticipation building throughout this story that has several stunning twists that has readers dropping their jaws in disbelief but yet also makes the story more captivating as Gonzo tries to win Constance over. Readers also can’t help but fall in love with Gonzo as he tries to make a family against all odds in this fascinating, heartwarming and enjoyable romance.

Horse is one of the first non-wolf shifters to be patched into the RTMC after the rule change. He’s a Grizzly Bear, and his old pawnshop has become the MC’s new gun store in a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Gabby is a rabbit shifter with a complicated history. Rabbits live in Faerie, but her parents chose to escape to the human realm so they could be together. Tragedy struck twice though, and she was taken to The Summerlands at fourteen to be raised by extended family. She’s grown now and has chosen to come back, even though it means she’s alone in this world.

Bears are loners who are used to getting their way. Rabbits are sexual, social creatures who need a wide variety of partners in their lives if they go outside their own species.

And Gabby’s past is on a trajectory to keep her from the future she wants.

Review

I really didn't need to discover a new author to read but I did. Bear shift catnip. Also, rabbit shifter. I love me an odd pairing. 

In some ways, I want to resist this book because it seems to formulaic and taking advantage of trends rather than be written out of imagination or love of the genre.

We have a motorcycle club. Its erotic. The hero is a bear shifter. He fights.

However, even though I think its fair to say there is too much going on in this book and more time could have been spent with the leads, its a great story of crazy sauce that works and is good.

The writing is very good and distinct. The characters are will developed with interesting backstories (the heroine more than the hero). The hero is kind and awesome. The heroine comes into her own and we have a wonderful opposites attract trope.

The world and culture building is excellent with a great cast. The plot walks the perfect line of conflict and twists without overstepping.

I love the ownership of the rabbit and bear sexuality and the complete comfort with a non monogamous (rooted in DNA and culture) soul mate kind of love.

They are wonderful couple and the love story was a super hot and tender delight.

I am slow this year but I am getting my Best of List done.

I read less Paranormal this year but what I read was very good! Fantasy Romance is making a come back which is wonderful.

Wonderful to spend time with my favorite BDB couple, Rhage and Mary. A must read for fans of the series.

2. Horse  by Candace Blevins

A bear shifter and a rabbit shifter with a great mythos system and a good address of different kinds of sexuality. Loving and tender as well. 

3. Moonshadow by Thea Harrison

A great start to a new series with a clever witch heroine who takes no guff. 

4. The Pages of the Mind  by Jeffe Kennedy

A new to me series with a book loving heroine and a language barrier. A really fun fantasy romance. 

5. The Leopard King  by Ann Aguirre

A tortured hero meets his match in a heroine who never gives up. Sexy and a great start to a new series. 

6. Wild Embrace by Nalini Singh

A really nice collection of stories in the Psy-Changling World with my favorite being the love of a beta hero for an alpha heroine. So good!

7. The Undoing by Shelly Laurenston

A great heroine that gets her own back in this great entry into the Crow world. Great hero too. 

8.  Promise of Fire by Amanda Bouchet

Everyone is raving about this book for a reason. A super action packed fully realized world of magic fun with serious heat between the hero and heroine. 

9. The Bird and the Sword by Amy Harmon

Lyrical with great fantasy world building I loved this book with the heroine taking the lead as a favorite character this year. 

10.  Defying Eternity by Viola Grace

Kick Ass Heroine and a Vampire King. Such a blast!
