Complex romantic suspense
Far Gone - Laura Griffin

‘He could see the pulse thrumming at the side of her neck as she eyed him mistrustfully. Something twisted inside him. All this time together, and she still didn’t know. She didn’t have a clue how he felt about her. He leaned his head down and kissed her.’

Far Gone was a thrilling romantic suspense that had me on the edge of my seat, hoping our hero and heroine would not only find the criminal, but also find love in the process.

Author Laura Griffin is obviously a huge name in the world of romantic suspense. And after reading this book, it’s easy to see why. The plot had a good number of twists and turns as we were given hints about who was behind the bombing and what their motivation might be.

‘He wasn’t a criminal with a heart of gold or a victim of the system. There were no sad stories to share, no terrible secrets. He was just dirty to the bone. It was in his blood.’

Riding Dirty proved to be much more than just a typical novel about a motorcycle club. It had an intriguing combination of suspense, romance, erotica with some BDSM, and elements of crime fiction.

This is the first book in the Dirty Eleven series about a motorcycle club of outlaws in California. Author Jill Sorenson used a gritty, no nonsense style of writing for this story which worked very well, I thought.

“Ruby, if I told you exactly what I wanted to do it’d ruin the surprise, but bottom line, I want to have hot, passionate, mindblowing, off-the-radar sex with you.”

Outback Blaze is a charming and suspenseful romance set in beautiful Bunyip Bay, Australia, where the beaches are to die for and the people are unforgettable.

It was nice to be back in Bunyip Bay. I really enjoyed book one, Outback Dreams, and couldn’t wait this time to learn more about Ruby’s past and about enigmatic Constable Drew. I thought the writing style was straight-forward and easy to read again while maintaining interesting dialogue and deep emotional connections.
