ARC REVIEW Instacrush by Kate Meader
Instacrush (Rookie Rebels #2)Rookie Rebels #2, It was kind hard not to have a crush on Super Glutes Theo Kershaw. From his outgoing personality to his comeback career, Theo is a loveable guy. He's the kind of guy who likes making other people smile and he loves to connect with his fans. Elle Butler is pretty much in limbo after getting out of the Army, she's learned to keep people at a distance. Elle loves her family but she doesn't like them very much, except maybe her sister but there are things in her past better left forgotten. Staying with her old Army buddy Levi is just temporary until she figures out what she wants to do, it doesn't help that Levi's neighbor is the incredibly sexy, irritatingly friendly Theo but she can't help but watch his live Instagram posts. As sexy as Theo is Elle still gets annoyed with him, or maybe it's because she finds him so sexy and friendly that pisses her off but over Christmas one thing lead to another and they spend the weekend in bed together.

Theo thinks Elle is special, he has even told his grandmother about her but Elle keeps her distance. Even after they find out she's pregnant with his kid she tries to keep him at arms distance. Theo thinks she's ashamed of him but she's doing it for his own protection, protection from her family. Elle's not the only one with family drama Theo's birth father has been trying to reconnect but Theo is not sure he's worth the effort especially when his father's family paid his mom off. Theo and Elle have a lot to work out between his family and her and their feeling for each other.

Overall, I loved Theo and Elle. Kate Meader has yet to write a book I didn't enjoy. Her style is so much fun to read, with the right amount of angst balanced with humor and romance and some pretty steamy scenes between Theo and Elle it was such a great read. It was nice to catch up of some of the older Rebels and all the hints at the next books and their sexy Rebels.

InstaCrush (Rookie Rebels #2) by: Kate Meader
InstaCrush (Rookie Rebels #2) - Kate Meader

The back and forth banter. The sizzling attraction. The laugh out loud mishaps. Meader is one author who knows how to make over the top attraction into heartwarming romance. Theo and Elle were a joy to get to know. Despite his ego and her slightly off kilter attempts at giving him the cold shoulder, InstaCrush grabs onto your heart and holds on for dear life. A totally obvious one click purchase.

Tackled in Seattle by Jami Davenport is available now!

Alisa:

My family has always treated me like a princess, and when my mother reveals her secret, I find out I really am one. I'm the only child of the second in line to the throne, and after the news breaks, I'm thrust into a life I never imagined. Now I'm trying to fit in and not screw up the never-ending rules and protocol, but I can't forget Gage, the guy I left behind. When my father insists I marry an appropriate blueblood of his choosing, I run to the one person who can save me from myself. Can I go against my family's wishes and choose love over duty?

Gage:

On the surface, I've always been a carefree playboy taking full advantage of the perks of being a college quarterback. When Alisa enters my life, everything changes, and nothing is as cut and dried as it once was. After recovering from an injury, I lose my starting spot to the new guy and my heart to Alisa. Now I'm confronted with the grim possibility of a future without football or Alisa. Can I trust Alisa enough to reveal the truth hiding under my spoiled, rich boy façade, or will I once again run away from the one woman who loves me for myself?

Tackled in Seattle (Game On in Seattle Rookies Men of Tyee #2)Tackled in Seattle by Jami Davenport
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book #2, in the Men Of Tyee series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader understanding of the series, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading these in order.

Alisa has been in love with Gage since the day they met. The attraction was instant, and the heat between them literally melts all who witness. Her future may not include him, however, since she just found out she will be leaving the country.

Gage has had a hard time recently. He was on the fast track to be recruited, when an accident left him with nerves that are not working toward his goal. His one good thing in life was Alisa, and she seems so distant.

This story moves along at a rapid pace. There is so much going on. The heat between the two principles is very steamy and comes quickly off the page. I love that no matter what they are gravitating toward on another. I cannot wait to read the next installment in this new Men Of Tyee series.

ARC REVIEW Good Guy by Kate Meader

Good Guy (Rookie Rebels, #1)Rookie Rebels #1, Yay Kate Meader!!! I am happy there are more Rebels, I love Kate Meader's books.

Levi Hunt truly is a good guy a former Green Beret a talented hockey play who could have gone pro but instead enlisted when he got out despite his age NHL and the Rebels called. All Levi wanted to do was leave his life the Special Forces behind him, he didn't want a lot of publicity only doing the obligatory interviews when needed, but then the bosses tell him a reporter is going to be following him around for a profile piece. Jordan Cooke loved Josh but she had put her life on hold for him when she married him and she can't spent her life grieving so she decided to finally live the life she wanted. She's making her way up the sports media chain with her podcast growing in popularity she's even been asked to fill in for the hockey writer on a larger network, all she has to do is follow Levi Hunt around for a month. It should have been an easy job, and the only way she got the job was because her history with Levi but the last time they saw each other Jordan had just buried her husband.

Jordan always assumed Levi didn't like her little did she know Levi has been half way in love with her since the moment he saw her, which happened to be moments before Josh did. Levi tries to avoid her but she still manages to insert herself into his life even uncovering the secrets he would rather remain hidden. The sexual tension builds until finally they both give in but with Jordan's reputation on the line they agree to keep it secret until after the article is published. But misogyny runs rampant when another sports reporter sabotages Jordan to the point where it not only damages her integrity as a reporter but also her relationship with Levi.

Overall, such a good read. I loved how sweet Levi could be and how Jordan was so determined. I loved their past history with each other and the female friendships and how they all stood by each other especially when the shit hit the fan. I really enjoy reading Kate Meader books, she's so great at character building and developing the friendship between the characters. I loved how we continue to see Remy and the OG Rebels.
