Release Day Review! Betrayed & Seduced (House of the Cat #6) Shelley Munro!
Betrayed & Seduced - Shelley Munro

A pilot on the run. A warrant-taker determined to make a capture. The mating-dance that threatens to destroy them both…

Warrant-taker Jazen Lav accepts one last assignment before she retires to follow her dreams. She’s hot on the trail of a runaway cyborg, but the path leads to the crew of the Indefatigable and they’re a tight-lipped bunch. Frustration steers her to an undercover gig as a nurse, which places her in the sights of the flirtatious Indy pilot.

Nanu left his home planet at a young age, missing the last crucial elements of his training before he hit adulthood. The inner beast he thought dead leaps to life on meeting Jazen, taking him by surprise and tossing him into confusion. His inner beast insists Jazen is his mate, but she’s trouble for him, trouble for his friends, trouble for his future.

Abduction and betrayal—not the best way to start a courtship, and that’s where the turmoil begins since danger stalks into the city with Nanu and Jazen directly in its sights…

Betrayed & Seduced is one hot and fascinating read! The Indefatigable crew is back and I couldn’t be happier as the story starts off with an exciting event and keeps the thrills coming from there. Nanu and Jazen are strong characters with lots of sizzling chemistry that keeps the pages heated with smoldering desire and lots of smoking hot passion. The couple has some major obstacles to overcome if they want their happily ever after, but even that is in question until the very end as Jazen’s issues get in the way. The story immediately gets the adrenaline pumping and keeps the readers on the edge of their seats with lots of excitement, intrigue and a couple of betrayals that has quite the impact on the couple.

Shelley’s charming and intriguing House of Cat world just keeps getting better and I have to say that Shelley Munro has outdone herself with this one, as usual she brings her world and her characters to vibrant life and paints such vivid imagery that it easy to become caught up in the story as the readers picture each and every scene and in this case she gave Nanu some very intriguing and sexy characteristics that set the imagination on fire right along with Jazen and I was totally caught up in their story from the get go and I couldn’t put it down until I had read every last word. And since she set up the next book, with some intrigue already, I have to say that I am a bit impatient to read Enticed & Seduced to find out what happens.

Seduced by Shark Shifters III: Tom's Turn (By the Water #3) by Rafe Jadison
Seduced by Shark Shifters III: Tom's Turn - Rafe Jadison
Tom's Turn is the third book in this series, but for me, I would say it is the second part to Logan's Tail. You can't read this story without reading that one first, and expect it to make sense. Tom has always let Logan take the lead with their friendship, even though he wants more. However, now he has had a 'taste' of what he has been missing, and will do whatever it takes to keep Logan for himself. Of course, there is the slight problem of Stefano being not only Logan's husband, but also a nice guy. Tom won't give up though, even when Stefano's twin sister steps in to cause untold trouble.

I LOVED THIS! The drama between Logan, Stefano, and Tom was there. If anything, it was Logan who was blasé about it, whereas Tom and Stefano understood and tried to work with it. Logan's dad turns up with secrets of his own which completely turn this tale around! I am hoping to see something go on there, but I won't say anymore as I don't do spoilers.

Once again, this book had no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow. I was thoroughly engrossed and loved every word from start to finish. Absolutely recommended by me, and I can't wait for this series to continue.

Seduced by Shark Shifters II: Logan's Tail (By the Water #2) by Rafe Jadison
Seduced by Shark Shifters II: Logan's Tail - Rafe Jadison
Logan's Tail is the second book in this series, and I can honestly say it didn't happen the way I thought it would! Logan is Sam's younger brother, and is sent to Suncoast to find out what's going on with his brother by his father. Not only that, but his father has also signed him up for a writing course without his knowledge. This means that he has to leave his best friend, Tom, behind which is more painful that he thought. When he arrives, he goes for a swim to relax, and meets up with a couple of people outside the roped off area. It is when he meets them again later on that the fun really starts! Like I said, this one didn't go the way I was expecting, but it was a thrilling read just the same. There is a lot of history explaining Logan and Tom's friendship so you know just how hard it is for them to be in different places. Sam and the twins are here, but obviously don't play as big a part as they did in their book.

This was exceedingly well written, with plenty of action, and no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow. The pace was smooth and the tension real. I can't wait to see where this is going. Definitely recommended by me.

ARC review: SEDUCED BY FIRE by ERIN KELLISON
Seduced by Fire - Erin Kellison

Third installment in the Dragons of Bloodfire series. It’s supposed to be read as a standalone but I truly think you need to read the series in order to thoroughly enjoy this book although that’s not completely necessary.

As great as life may be for any Bloodkin (dragon) that has amassed a great fortune over the years, the fact that they are still different from any other human being makes for a very complicated life. Shifters, werewolves, vampires and other creatures are out and humans are not very accepting of them so they tend to stay hidden as much as possible. There are some evil creatures that actually want to take over the world and Aura becomes involved in one of their evil schemes.

Mack is a very powerful and ancient dragon shifter that’s left his dragon life behind in exchange for a more calm and confined “normal” life as a college professor. It might not be as luxurious as it could have been if he lived as any other Bloodkin but his love for books and antiquities has made him more accommodating over the years. He and Bloodkin Aura were friends less than a century ago but circumstances separated them and now she is back in his life, asking for his help and rekindling old romantic flames.

I think I’m a little biased when it comes to this author because whenever I start reading any of her books I’m already thinking I’m going to like it. Her narrative depicts quite a unique imagery; she’s got such a gift for creating the most fantastic worlds capable of transporting me to whatever place she’s decided to create. And although her dragon shifters are not the “sexiest” I’ve ever read, they are by far the most intriguing, interesting, and complex beings– when I say sexiest I mean they are not out looking to mate and claiming to be the best lovers ever, thank goodness- They even behave like true dragons, with hoards and all and with a folklore all of their own.

Aura and Mack set out to retrieve some sort of artifact that according to myth it could empower any normal human and enslave the rest of humanity. Aura needed that artifact to ensnare something –or someone- that had escaped her a long time ago and trap it again. She was keeping her own agenda secret but whatever it was Mack was sure she’d confide in him with the right incentive. He wasn’t exactly in love with her but had had feelings for her since the day she met her.
I don’t think this one is the most romantic story of the series however what I liked the most here was the honesty between Aura and Mack when it came to their feelings and the quest all the characters set out to find the artifact. One thing I didn’t like much was that the ending felt somewhat contrived and too lenient for the main villain of the story.

It’s always a pleasure to return to this world and will be looking forward for the next installment.

I voluntarily read this book and my opinion here is my own

SEDUCED BY THE STRANGER by Allison Gatta
Seduced by the Stranger: A Napoline Roya... Seduced by the Stranger: A Napoline Royals Novel (The Napoline Royals Book 1) - Allison Gatta

Tess, the black sheep of her family, has a one-night stand with Prince Antone Salvatore, the guest of honor. She has no idea who he is. He finds that refreshing. When she comes to him about being pregnant he thinks she is no different than any other woman he has met. But since the child is his heir he takes her home with him.

This sets up the Napoline Royals series and introduces the characters. I liked the characters and the storyline is a Cinderella story. The author has brought me into the story. I could feel the Tess' hurt, pain, and anger when Antone shuts her out. For her it is no different than her family's actions. She does show him though that she is ready to be at his side working for his country. He has to change his thinking. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.
