This Boston Fire novel is an emotionally gripping romance that has readers willing to fight for this couple’s future. Grant and Wren are two strong, compelling characters that readers can easily connect to therefore they become emotionally caught up in the story right from the start. Wren and Grant both have heart rending emotional turmoil that are valid and quite real so their romance is in no way a sure thing and readers can feel their pain as the couple try to overcome what happened in the past in order to fight for the present.

The story flows at steady pace that keeps readers interest in what is happening in the world of the Boston Fire Unit and suspense builds as Grant tries to determine what made Wren run and why she is afraid to let him help her and the danger that Wren faces becomes a reality Wren has to face that she may have made the wrong decision in leaving Grant and his friends behind. The author writes the story is such a way that readers can easily picture each and every scene which makes the events vivid and the emotions poignant ensuring that readers become completely engrossed in this gripping romance.

This 18 book collection by some of the most amazing authors was such a treat to read! I loved the humor, heat, and you betcha - even the hockey that was represented in each story. I have 2 book reviews that I am sharing from this collection for you below.

A Second Shot by Shannon Stacey:

Heartwarming and truly charming, this short and sweet story has us on our toes as we read about a couple who should be together, but have been apart. Great read of sexy and fun.

A Wolfe Brothers Christmas by Jami Davenport:

Little bit of suspense mixed in with a sweet holiday story that brings a lot of sexy charm to the table. If you loved her men in their previous stories - you are going to be glad you grabbed this little bit of heaven. I do recommend that you read the Game On In Seattle series first, however, to avoid spoilers. Believe me this is worth it!

Each short story included gives a unique and truly hockey flavored look at romance. What I enjoyed most was that it gave me a chance to relax and enjoy love in my favorite sport.

They’re from different sides of the tracks, literally, but chemistry doesn’t allow for plans and love doesn’t bother with logistics.

The blazing hot chemistry that heats up the pages of this enchanting romance will singe readers as they get to know the strong, compelling characters that easily draw them into their story and charm their way into hearts. The relationship is has a few major obstacles likes plans, distance and insecurities which cause quite a bit of emotional turbulence that tugs at the heart but the romance is sweet and readers can’t help but cheer Olivia and Derek on toward their happily ever after because in a way the characters are very different from each other but at the same time they seem fit and complement each other and what romance reader doesn’t like a real romance with lots of opposition.

The smooth flowing plot keeps readers engaged with lots of emotional and compelling events that adds depth and fascination to the story and the steady pace keeps readers glued to the pages as it builds anticipation. The story doesn’t focus on either of the couple’s careers but focuses on the way that those careers and family issues affect their lives and how they must overcome it. This feel good romance will delight readers from beginning to end as they get know the characters from Boston Fire and ensures that want to come back for more.
