Once Upon A Half-Time: A Sports Romance - Sosie Frost

Bad Boy's Baby, Beauty and the blitz, Once upon a half-time
contemporary sports romances
part of a series, but can be read as stand-alones
all three stories delivered a mixed reading experience for me
some passages were nice and entertaining
others frustrated me, made me shake my head so hard
characters are not as deeply developed as they could have been
stereotypes are pretty much everywhere
and the plots couldn't completely convince me
I'm still not sad that I read these books
but I'm also not that excited about reading more stories by Sosie Frost
as much as I like light-hearted and entertaining sports romances
I need more from characters and stories to keep me going.

Beauty and the Blitz
Beauty and the Blitz - Sosie Frost Beauty and the Blitz - Sosie Frost 2.5 Stars

This was just an OK read for me.

I found Cole to be a little too OTT assholish most of the time. Oh he had his moments (mostly with Rose) but I just kept thinking that if he would have just dialed the asshole down a couple notches he wouldn't have had so many problems with his team, league, coaches.

Piper was an OK heroine, but I thought their back and forth arguing went on a tad bit too long, and I hated the way she let her dad treat her and her daughter. On top of those issues it seemed to drag a bit. We could have done without the WAY too long football explanation between Cole and Piper.

Like i said, just an OK read...

Beauty and the Blitz
Beauty and the Blitz - Sosie Frost Beauty and the Blitz - Sosie Frost I love alpha athlete stories. I had no idea what the word blitz was all about..thanks Google.
Football player Cole (Beast) Hawthorn a hulking guy even without the game's padding on was full of anger. His agent's daughter, single mother Piper barges into his life, his home and eventually his heart. They had great chemistry and it progressed slowly and naturally..well his lust was instant, but he had no idea what love was. The story was at time hilarious and you just want them to come together. I was glued to my kindle and thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Sweetest Sin
Sweetest Sin - Sosie Frost Sweetest Sin - Sosie Frost I really like this author but this book just didn't appeal to me.
Forbidden love between a young priest and his parishioner, it was taboo but I wasn't put off by that. It just seemed to drag on, too many thoughts and confessions and just a lot of dialogue and I lost interest. The young priest himself seemed to thrive on this power he had over her and put me off him. I did like the ending, hearing about his back story, the emotional baggage that both of them had and the epilogue which wrapped up the story. I'll look forward to the author's next book.

Bad Boy's Bridesmaid
Bad Boy's Bridesmaid - Sosie Frost Bad Boy's Bridesmaid - Sosie Frost I received this book for an honest review.
I'm such a new fan of this author, this is my third book by her.
It's a fast read and quite witty, I always love the banter between this author's characters.
Mandy was a bit of a doormat and never put herself first, though being afraid to share her news perhaps it was her coping mechanism. Though I did want to bitch slap her annoying family. Nate was the man-whore who loved the good girl but sowed plenty of oats before he caught her. There was plenty of drama in preparing for Mandy's sister's wedding, at times it was hilarious. And finally there was a HEA for all parties.
If you enjoy a romance that's not quite smooth sailing then I highly recommend this book.
