When it comes to fanfics, ”Canon compliant” and ”angsty as shit” are probably my biggest kinks..

I don’t really know if “angst” is a ‘kink’ but oh well, I want to be able to taste the angst, ok? I want to feel my heart break in a million pieces only to have it put together at the end, while I drown in a flood of happy tears..

How this is now what I want in life I don’t even know..

In comes this fic..

Its 2 years after the alpha pack has been defeated in Beacon Hills, and everything is calm…

From the blurb alone, you kinda get an idea what this is about, but yeah, Stiles leaves the pack, and its.. not right..

Every Step You Take - Nokomis

For a second I really thought this was one of those fics that ended with you having tears in your eyes, because it was just such a happy ending and, let’s be real, I’m a sucker for a sweet, über cute, happy ending.

And I’m not saying this doesn’t have a happy ending, it definitely does, but the ending is just more on the “OMG, THE AWKWARD!” scale of things!  [Oh, you’ll see and you’ll agree! ;]

But enough about the ending.

This fic takes place around mid-season 2, and really, just the summary is enough for my ‘Yeeesss’ feelings to start tinkling. It’s not exactly fake/pretend relationship, (which is like my biggest Sterek kink for some reason) no, it’s more a ‘we have to be together 24/7 because of witches’ thing, and it’s amazing! I love mouthy Stiles, I love Alpha Derek, and I just really LOVE this!

Stiles and Derek find themselves with a ‘bond’ that makes them feel insane pain if they move to far away from each other, and so they have to find a way to fight this bond, and these stupid witches, because seriously. Stiles doesn’t need to be bonded to a broody werewolf, ok?

Please. You know you want to tap that.

I did end up having teary eyes at the end, right before the awkward happened, but that too was a perfect ending to this pretty prefect Sterek fic.

Don't Speak - fatale

Who knew that I would end up loving a story this much, when one of the tags on it was ”No sex”..

Really.. Who knew?

I do love me some Sterek loving, in and out of a bed, so that I ended up being really hooked while reading this is quite surprising to me.

Also when you take into consideration that I absolutely love Stiles, and this is almost 70.000 words of non-speaking Stiles! Yes. Stiles can’t talk, and there’s no sex, and really, not that much Sterek feeling, but I still ended up loving it! What gives?

Great writing for one. And also a great storyline. It’s all happening in Stiles head though, so be prepared for a lot of internal dialogue, but hey, it’s Stiles’ head, so of course it’s great dialogue. ;)

This story revolves around a mysterious alpha, trying to 'play a game’ of sorts with the werewolves in Beacon Hills, and they have all been hurt somewhat before he takes Stiles. But what he does to Stiles is the worst so far, and leaves Stiles with no communication skills at all, and when you know Stiles and how his mouth never closes for one second, yeah, then you know this is a hard thing for Stiles and the people who love him.

This story is about Stiles having to find other ways of communicating and figuring out who he wants to ‘communicate’ with so-to-speak. [so-to-speak? Ha! I’m so funny]

Of course there are “Sterek feelings” but they are not heavy or over the top. They are just like, a natural part of the storyline, and because it’s all about Stiles, they are just there and the feelings are just, well, there, and it’s just really, really good.

On The Job Training - suzvoy

I absolutely love the way suzvoy writes Sterek, and Stiles in particularly. That hyper Stiles we all know and love. I think she writes him so perfect.

We saw it in the amazing Important Things and now in this shorter, and yes more ridicules, but still amazing Sterek fanfic!

Stiles has to go through the whole pack, quite literally, before getting his prize at the end..

And what a nice prize! ;)

Say Something - onrooftops

A Teenwolf and Stiles/Derek fanfic.

And what a great one too!

My fave fanfics are always the ones that stay as close to the actual Teenwolf plot, well, added some Sterek awesomeness, of course, and this fic really does that.

The storylines revolve around the new Alpha pack and also Stiles trying to find his new place in the pack. For some reason he’s only calm when Derek is around and that leads to kissing, and later on awkward dinner dates including Papa Stilinski! (Honestly, even in fanfics Papa Stilinski wins everything!)

All in all this is a great fanfic, with a very true storyline, lots of angst but, of course, with lots of comfort too! ;)
