Mr. Panda from Steve Antony’s bestselling, funny manners book Please, Mr. Panda is back!

This time, Mr. Panda’s black-and-white animal friends are curious what he’s making, but only one has the patience to stick around. An alpaca, an aardvark, rabbits, and a bird all wind up missing out. It’s the penguin who declares, “I’ll wait, Mr. Panda.” The penguin is rewarded with a big SURPRISE: a giant doughnut!

I’ll Wait, Mr. Panda is a graphic, kid-friendly way of teaching the value of patience and the importance of saying “thank you.”

When the book fair came to my sons school. I let him pick out any one book and I’ll Wait, Mr. Panda was his pick. He loves this Panda book. We read it several times a week, which is great. That’s what you want when you get a book. One you will enjoy over and over again.

I like this Panda book; because it’s all about teaching patience and politeness. The Panda expects patience, but is often disappointed; yet in the end he is generous to the patient penguin. The Panda does seem gruff, but I still feel this is a nice story to read to young kids (preschool/kindergartners) and the illustrations are cute.

Please, Mr. Panda
Please, Mr. Panda - Steve Antony

Please, Mr. Panda teachers manners for our younger elementary students! Mr. Panda does not want to give anyone a doughnut unless they say "please" and "thank you." This book would be helpful to establish manners in a classroom. A fun little treat to do after this book is practice our manners to the teacher while he or she passes out mini doughnuts (if allowed). The teacher could teach cause and effect with manners or a sequencing lesson using pictures with Please, Mr. Panda. It would be a great read aloud for Kindergarten-1st grade.

Mr. Panda Even Speaks SPANISH!!
I'll Wait, Mr. Panda / Yo voy a esperar, Sr. Panda (Spanish Edition) - Steve Antony

Three letters: E-L-L!!! I will buy this the second I see this! This is the same story, but it is also in SPANISH! This would be absolutely amazing for any Spanish speaking child. I would have this in an area for when I have a child in my classroom who speaks Spanish so they may feel included. It would even be fun to be taught how to read the book in Spanish and read both languages to my class!

MORE PANDAS!
I'll Wait, Mr. Panda - Steve Antony

Mr. Panda is becoming one of my favorites!!! Just like Please, Mr. Panda this story involved pandas AND donuts! This time though patience is the name of the game! I would use this story in lower elementary to talk about patience and what could happen if you just wait!!

Please, Mr. Panda - Steve Antony

This is a perfect first few weeks of school kindergarten book.  During those weeks when classroom management is so important, this book could be used for discussions about lunchroom behaviors or good manners.
