Kato (Stone Warriors # 2) by D.B. Reynolds Review
The Stone Warriors: Kato: The Stone Warr... The Stone Warriors: Kato: The Stone Warriors, Book 2 - D. B. Reynolds

It was a time when gods walked the earth, when armies fought not for bits of land, but for the very existence of humanity. On such a battlefield, five formidable warriors stood against an evil greater than any the earth had ever seen. But evil is not an honorable foe. Betrayed by someone they trusted, the warriors were cursed, one by one, tossed into the maelstrom of time, imprisoned in stone, their freedom resting on nearly impossible conditions. Until...

Kato Amadi...born of darkest sorcery, unstoppable on the battlefield, his magic is as deadly as his blade. But not even magic could save him from vicious betrayal. Trapped for millennia in darkness and silence, he is freed at last, only to find himself in the middle of a battle against the very beasts of hell he was created to destroy.

Grace Van Allen is a scholar of ancient languages who toils in the dim recesses of a museum basement with only a beautiful stone warrior to keep her company. But when Grace calls upon her silent warrior to help her translate an obscure new language, she breaks the ancient curse holding him prisoner...and frees three deadly demons to rampage through her city.

Tracking demons is what Kato was born to do, but he’ll need Grace’s help. And when they discover that Kato’s enemy is still alive and still plotting against him, their hunt takes a dangerous turn, one that might just prove fatal for both of them...

As you probably know D.B. Reynolds, Vampires is America series is one hot world that is full of sexy vampires and this spin off series is just as hot and sexy only we now have sorcerers, magic and curses to spark the imagination.

The second book in the Stone Warriors series certainly has sparks flying and the imagination soaring. Kato is one hunky warrior with some awesome magic and fighting skills, but he’s also got that dark, dangerous but vulnerable vibe going on that reaches out grabs readers’ hearts. Grace is a spunky heroine that adds some spice to the story as her character starts off seemingly vulnerable but surprises readers with quite a few admirable traits and an ability to roll with the punches. The romance between Kato and Grace is hot and deliciously sexy and made me green with envy, I mean what red blooded woman wouldn’t love to wake up her very own hunky warrior just in the nick of time.

The plot is full of twists and turns and keeps readers wondering about a variety of different aspects of the story, the main characters, the supporting characters and most especially the bad guys. Believe me when I tell you that the author is one step ahead of you and the danger has increased with this story as the evil villain has more tricks up his sleeve and continues to lead Nick and his warriors on a perilous chase.

Kato is a fascinating read that kept me glued to the pages and ended with me wanting more; when is the next book coming out? I really can’t wait to read the next one as it seems we just might get to travel to Japan… hmm….

5 STARS

Kato is the 2nd book in the

Voller Action und Hochspannung! Grandioses Hörvergnügen! ( Hörbuchrezension!)
The Stone Warriors (TombQuest, Book 4) - Michael Northrop

Inhalt:

Review - Damian by D.B. Reynolds (Stone Warriors #1)
The Stone Warriors: Damian: The Stone Warriors, Book 1 - D. B. Reynolds

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!

***Received ebook from Belle Books for an honest review

This is the first book in a spin-off from Vampires in America where we first met Nick (the sorcerer).  This is for adults only due to the steamy content.

D.B. Reynolds’ books are books that fully engage me in the story.  I love her writing style.  There is always plenty of action, drama, and sex appeal.  Her writing is always packed with details that make the stories come alive in your mind.  If you haven’t read any of her work, you need to try it.  Start with one of the book 1’s though because you will definitely get hooked, and you don’t want to miss the layers of character backgrounds, relationships, and chemistry.  If you jump around, you are only shorting yourself.

Damian and Casey’s story is beautiful and amazing journey, full of adventure!  I started off thinking Damian was a caveman with his ‘woman’ references, but he changed my mind.  Casey has insecurities I think we all have, and she was easy to relate to though she has warrior skills that will amaze you.  Damian does too :) I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!  Ok, really I can’t wait until any book of D.B.’s is released.

I highly recommend this book as well as any of the books written by this author!  I do not say this about too many authors!  If you love PNRs, you have got to read this!  I hope there is something new soon because I can’t wait!
