Excerpt from Blood, Skin, and Bones:

“Well that’s good, I don’t want to have raccoon breath after I break my rule.” She couldn’t resist any longer, the draw she felt to him was strong. Sliding her legs over his she sat on his lap straddling him. His cheeks warmed slightly and she could have sworn he blushed. “Which rule are you breaking? Not that I’m complaining.” His hands slid to her hips and squeezed gently. “My kissing on the first date rule, I’m going to grandfather this date in as the second date since I spent the night already.” Leaning forward she touched her lips to his softly and shivered at how something so simple could light up her senses. Acer’s mouth was instantly devouring hers. She felt his fingers tighten on her hips and moaned into his mouth. Acer took that opportunity to slide his tongue between her lips and swirl it against hers. The urge to press down against him was high and his encouraging groan as she did only increased the need. Acer broke the kiss and rested his forehead against hers. “I don’t know how many rules you are willing to break tonight, but if it is only the one I do not know that continuing this path is wise.” “You’re right, I’m sorry if I’m being a tease. I didn’t mean for things to go that far...though I don’t regret a moment.” She was seconds away from breaking every rule she had when it came to him. Sive knew that she had those rules in place for a reason though and didn’t want to deviate too much even if he was heat on two legs. “I do not regret, I can be patient.” He ran his nose against hers and kissed her lips gently, sipping at her bottom lip and nipping it lightly. The whimper that left her lips was neither dignified nor her usual controlled response. “I’m worried that I won’t be able to be. You’re too good at this, you ought to come with a warning label.”

3 riveting tales from Tarker's Hollow
Tales from Tarker's Hollow - Tasha Black

I absolutely LOVED Tasha Black's "Curse of the Alpha" & "Fate of the Alpha" series, so when I first learnt that Tasha had written these novella's set in Tarker's Hollow once again... well I couldn't wait to get started (there may have been a few happy dances too). I'd previously read the following novellas in the following boxsets 'Alphas on the Prowl', 'A Very Alpha Christmas' & 'Shifter Wonderland'

Ghosts of Shifters Past....
I was instantly sucked back into the lives of the citizens of Tarkers Hollow & I LOVED it!! Focusing once again on the shifters in the community, we get to see how the wolves from Copper Creek are handling the move. A night time walk home, Bonnie catches glimpses of shadows, her wolf isn't picking up a scent, after a steamy dream & an encounter with a fox spirit. I will have to leave it there. How I miss Tarker's Hollow, I was LOST in this, the story was rivetting.

The Talented Mr. Mac Gregor....
I was instantly sucked back into the lives of the Tarkers Hollow wolves & I LOVED it!! If you've read the "Curse of the Alpha" series, you'll be happy to know that MacGregor gets his own little story. Pre-dating the arrival of Ainsley, when Beta MacGregor had to stand up in the Alpha position & fight the rise of his Alpha on a full moon, a dinner party turns into a murder mystery.

The Clockwork Dragon....
I was instantly sucked back into the lives of the citizens of Tarkers Hollow & I LOVED it!! Although it's centered around the Magical side of the community of Tarker's Hollow & not the wolves, you still get a scense of being there again. I was LOST in this, the story was rivetting.
When Marie has a vision of a golden-eyed prince, she knows it's significant. On the eve of the most important night of her life, the older gorgeous toy maker arrives & gifts Marie a beautiful Clockwork Dragon.

Grimm Fairy Tales Presents: Sleepy Hollow - Dan Wickline The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving is probably one of the infamous short story that was comparable to Edgar Allan Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart. Much as I enjoy the adaptations from the story, somehow this reimagining had done the story poorly despite the promising premise.Set in modern days in Tarrytown, New York, the legend haunt the town after a college guy was killed after his 'friends' attack him with a beer bottle and tied him up over a railway track and threatened him over basketball scholarship and passing a grade. They left the beheaded body and keep the whole incident silent and the death was then ruled as a suicide. But, a headless horseman appears and started to kill the boys one by one.Although I enjoy the legend and some of the artwork especially the gore and the horseman parts, as a whole, this is just a bad adaptation to the story. As classic Zenescope, the female characters are basically overly sexy sexual fiends while since all the male characters are jocks, the story just lost its steam. There are no quality toward the storytelling which is quite saddening since the artist are very talented. But the headless horseman seem to came out from Nicolas Cage's movie, Ghost Rider. Then all went downhill from there. If you like watching how easily heads popping out from the spine and the excessive blood sputtering out on the ground live a river, this is probably a good read for you. If you want blood and gore mixed with horror? This would be a miss for you. The ARC is provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
