I had a WEEK. Monday started with a snow day (no school days before winter break starts - thanks!) and piss poor planning on someone's part that led to an event with different troops being rescheduled and then I had to quick time reading my irl book club pick in time to make the meeting, Tuesday I did extra shifts at the library to help out, Wednesday and today was getting the kids under control enough to get them through school/activities. Tomorrow is the first full day of winter break, so send your good vibes towards Wichita if you can. Husband came home (he passed his twice a year PT test so now I can do some baking!) and announced he needed a white elephant gift asap. We looked through the stuff we are planning to sell at a garage sale in the spring, we picked something out and I wrapped it up. So I have been putting out fires all week and I am tired and stressed. So I went to the NOOK store's freebie section and just did my thing plus sales at NOOK and Kindle stores. I need to take off the bookmarks to those pages I swear.

Book Fair is now over until the spring. I worked enough shifts to earn $60 worth of books; $42 went to the kids and $18 went to their teachers' wish list items. My son received Game On! 2020 (guidebook to all things video games) and Sonic the Hedgehog graphic novel; my daughter got a She-Ra guidebook (based on the new Netflix show) and a chapter book about a princess who has supernatural abilities. His teacher got a two book set from the I Survive...series and her teacher got two picture books from the Choose Kindness collection. Everybody went away happy.

I only bought one e-book because the price was ridiculously low. I'm assuming book two must be close to publication/release date if the first one was such a low price.

I have been busy running my Daisy troop and pulling double duty volunteering at my kids' school library since it is Book Fair time - we get a $6 voucher for every 2-hour shift we work, so I am hoping to make enough to buy my kids two books each without dipping into my wallet. I've got a less busy weekend coming up (the only one for a while), so I am hoping to catch up on my 24 Festive Tasks postings and readings. The digital library borrows really helped in knocking out the book tasks. 

One good thing about being busy - no time to surf the NOOK or Kindle stores.....
