Just Give Me A Reason by P!nk --Paul's a little broken, but I think Marguerite can fix him…

Just give me a reason, just a little bit's enough

Just a second we're not broken just bent, and we can learn to love again

It's in the stars, it's been written in the scars on our hearts

We're not broken just bent, and we can learn to love again

⇝OVERALL RATING⇜

4.2/5 STARS

GRADE=B+

My Thoughts

The action in this is non-stop…Marguerite flits from one parallel universe to another…oh the places she goes...

Always chasing her other self, or Wicked, as she names her other self from whichever universe is the bad one (I can't remember the name of it).  If only Marguerite could have been a little less whiny, I don't know if it's the way she's written or just the narrator's voice, but I was ready for this book to end.   Overall, this was a satisfying end to the series.  With plenty of drama, intense action scenes, smoochy love & stuff, and even some clones (that's clones not clowns) thrown in, it is thoroughly entertaining.

Undeniably one of the craziest books I ever read…
Illuminae - Jay Kristoff,Amie Kaufman

--Below is my review for this book in paperback format, I just listened to this in Audio format, and it was phenomenal, a full cast of characters for narration sets this apart from most audiobooks, if you've been thinking of trying an audiobook...get this one.  The only downfall is it could spoil you for regular audiobooks.

♫Here's to the Heartache by Nothing More  --It's spooky, it's like it was written to go with this book.♫  &

My Demons by Starset  --This is AIDAN'S song, for sure.  I believe that if they ever get around to making a movie for this, Starset could do the whole Soundtrack.♫

Will I continue this series?  H*** Yes!!!

My Thoughts

If I explained this book in one word it would be:  Intense

Some other words would be…

Raw, Graphic, Gut-wrenching, Teeth-clenching, Nail-biting, Wonder, Awe, Interstellar, Lol, Fearful, Doubtful, Suspenseful, Thrilling, Movie-worthy, a-pain-in-the-ass-to-read-at-times, and ultimately Satisfying.

I read this in Paperback form, and I need to say, I really don't like reading actual books.  The print is too small for me see, even with my glasses on, unless I'm in direct sunlight.  I also had a kindle version from the library, that I read on whenever it was too dark for my paperback.  I'm glad I had both versions; it helped immensely.  For this book…you need to read it in hardcover or paperback.  Not all of the parts of it are easily read from a kindle.  This is so interesting that I'm contemplating using a Audible credit to buy the book in Audio version. Side-note--I did that

Sex Factor:  There is only talk of sexual situations, but this book is definitely older YA; because of the intensity of the graphicness.

⇝My Thoughts⇜

I wished for this on Netgalley, right after I did that; I thought I really would rather listen to this on Audio.  Since I listened to the first book in the series, Sleeping Giants, on Audio and it was one of the best audiobooks ever.  I figured I wouldn't actually win the chance to read this one, and I was okay with that…guess what…I won.  I never win anything.

I missed the full cast of characters giving each person their own voice, but I still was freaking totally engaged in this story.  It Rocks!  I'm fairly certain I will still have to listen to this on Audio, maybe, right before the 3rd book comes out.  Overall, I'm not disappointed I won this and had the opportunity to read this before it releases in April 2017.

There is some buzz out there about Sony Pictures adapting this series to film.  I really hope it happens, because it will rock as a movie series.  I also fervently hope they make it everything that it can be…

⇝My Thoughts⇜

This really is a satisfying ending to the Reckoners Series…I liked it, but…

I loved the first book in this series, it was inventive and clever.  The second book came out and I listened to it on audio, and I blamed the audio on why I couldn't fully connect.  I decided I would readCalamity because of that.  So…back to book format and I still couldn't fully connect.  I have to say, that sometimes, I just didn't know what was going on, like it was too complex for me.  I think this was a case of it's-not-you-it's-me.  I have to say though, that for me, David, is one of the best characters I have ever encountered.  It's by far the reason that I kept reading this series.

This third book introduced some intriguing elements to this world and it opened up opportunities for a spin-off series.  Will I read those when or if they come out?  Only time will tell…maybe if David is in them.

⇝My Thoughts⇜

I really liked this, is it without faults, no, but the faults did not take away from my overall enjoyment.

The writing starts out a little choppy, but evens itself out for the most part, about a 1/3 of the way through.  At least I think it did…or I could have just adjusted to the style.  I liked the futuristic aspect of this, it just doesn't always come off as believable.  There are elements that transpire that seem over-the-top and hard to fathom but, ultimately the sweet love story of Alainn and Lorccan is what kept me reading.  Plus, the oddly weird, but mostly likable assortment of supporting characters…especially the monkeys.  I loved the monkeys!

⇝Sex Factor⇜  This is a Beauty and the Beast spin for the adult crowd, while it is explicit at times it's not overdone at all.
