Gregory The Terrible Eater - Mitchell Sharmat,José Aruego,Ariane Dewey

This is a cute little story about a goat that likes human food. His parents ease him into eating goat food (trash) by disguising it as human food. It is a silly story that I am sure will delight children and teachers alike.

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day - Ray Cruz,Judith Viorst

Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is a book about a boy that has a terrible day and can't wait for the day to end. Every student ( and teacher) can relate to this story because everyone has a bad day at some point. Students can write about a time they had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. This book is a level 3.7 on the accelerated reader leveling system.

Leonardo, the Terrible Monster - Mo Willems
For more reviews, check out my blog: Craft-Cycle

First of all, awwwwwwwwwwww! This is such an adorable book. Really cute and heartwarming story.

Secondly, I loved the simplicity of the book. Great use of page space. The physial book is a little larger than a standard hardcover book. Willems utilizes the pages well in showing the huge scary monsters in contrast to Leonardo and Sam, who take up very little space on their pages.

Really great story. This is a perfect example of how to keep a book simple without compromising the story and emotions evoked.

Willems has such a talent for creating stories that children actually want to read and hear. Great addition to his many other successful books.

Gironimo!: Riding the Very Terrible 1914 Tour of Italy - Tim Moore

There is something funny about an honest, out of shape guy writing a book about trying to ride the Tour of Italy route from 1914.  It's a fun read.

Funny, but not a favorite
K is for Knifeball: An Alphabet of Terrible Advice - Avery Monsen,Jory John

I laughed, out loud a couple times, but it wasn't something I'd reread over and over again. Nice to kill a half hour if you need to laugh, though.
