An Exciting New Series
The Blood Scion (The Scion Legacy Book 1) - Nazarea Andrews

The cover caught my eye, the blurb interested my mind, the story grabbed my imagination and wouldn't let go. I read this book non stop, I couldn't put it down.

Farley is just a girl trying to make it through life basically unnoticed. As a reporter for a small time paper. When she is sent on a meeting unexpectedly her life changes drastically forever.

She is faced with a position of great power and great danger. Thrust into the very world she hid from all her life the vampire houses. There is a faction attacking the houses and a power struggle always happening behind the scenes. As with any power struggle comes the politics. Vampire politics are even worse since they have such long lifespans. The house that contacts Farley gives her an offer she just can't refuse. Farley steps out of her shy demure shell and takes her new role on with style and intelligence.

I really liked Farley, she is not the bendable barbie often written into many vampire books. She has a mind, a brass set, is quick with her snarky comebacks is willing to step into action when everyone expects her to crumble. This girl is my kind of heroine.

Now the big question, because yes it ended in s cliffhanger. When is the next book I need it.

I sat this morning with good intensions of drinking my coffee eating a biscuit while reading the first chapter only then I'd get to work. Busy busy day planned, lots to do. HA ! I sat there all morning didn't get to my coffee till it was cold and I was pissy that at noon when I had to take care of my family, dogs, house, reheating coffee, you know, real life ! I blame you dear dealer friend or is it fiend ? LOL

I am warning all of you beware the SnoopyDoo reviews it's a trap ! :D

The Blood Scion (The Scion Legacy #1) by Nazarea Andrews
The Blood Scion (The Scion Legacy Book 1) - Nazarea Andrews

I was just a reporter, trying to stay ahead of my student loans. I knew the rules, and I followed them.

I thought I knew how the world worked—humans lived their petty little lives in the safety of the sun. We loved and fought and—when the sun sank—we scurried behind our walls and lived in fear. That is when the monsters came out to play.

And even in the safety of the sun, we knew who ruled us.

The Houses. And their Scions.

Everyone knows the great Houses and their Scions—they are feared and loved and hated and envied. They are the gods who walk the shadows and rule all of our lives. They are salvation and death.

And somehow, I am one of them.

my though

I came across this book through blog tour and it sounded like something I enjoy so I requested a review copy.

I really glad that I did. I really enjoyed this book.

It has action, suspense, romance some steamy smexy scenes and plenty of snarky humor.

The beginning was a bit confusing since I have not read the prequel novella but this book had a glossary in the beginning that helped with that. As far as what house is what and what positions in the house and such. I think what I liked about this book the most is that while the world knows about Vampires they should still fear them. They are still or can be very dangerous to human and they have no problem showing the human world who is on top of the food chain. Of course they is always one group that tries to destroy the vampires.

The book has Dual POVs. Farley who is human and raised human and is scared of vampires but turns out is their House Scion and Octavius who is the houses blade.

I enjoyed the dual view because we get a better look into both worlds and views.

I like both main characters and can’t wait to learn about all about them and dig further into the secrets that have been hiding along the worlds they been living in.

There are some pretty nice twists and turns. The book is very fast paced and hard to put down.

Overall. I loved the book and looking forward to the next book

I rate it at 4 ½ ★

The Blood Scion
The Blood Scion - Nazarea Andrews The Blood Scion - Nazarea Andrews Originally posted on Book-o-Craze, on a tour hosted by InkSlinger.

I had previously read the series' prequel novella "The Scionless House" and I extremely enjoyed it! But, I hadn't expected just how much I would love reading the first book in The Scion Legacy series!!!

I actually liked everything on this book! The author's writing style, many of the characters and their personalities, the plot, the switch of the point of view between the protagonists in different parts of the book, which helped me get even more into the story and understand why everyone behaved the way they did!

As for the plot, in "The Scionless House" Octavius get orders from the Head of his House and his maker, Patroclus, to set off and find a young woman. But not just any young woman! Not much is being revealed right from the start, but from the hints that are cleverly placed by the author, we realize that this woman is going to be very important, to both the story and the main hero.

In "The Blood Scion", the protagonists are both Farley and Octavius! Their points of view are both presented, and I have to admit I love them both!

Farley is not your typical damsel in distress, waiting for her guardian to come to her rescue. No, quite on the contrary! She is a strong, brave, young woman, willing to give her own fights and rebel against everything and everyone that goes against her opinion.

Octavius, a hero I had adored while reading the novella, is the strongest assassin among the vampiric population! He is determined to serve his House and his maker, but to the extent where he agrees with the decisions that are made!

Those two characters are not pawns that anyone can use as they will, a fact that I deeply loved about the book!

And don't even get me started about the chemistry between the Raven and the new Scion of the House! Purely amazing!

All in all, 5 stars for a great experience that only leaves me wanting for more of the story and characters!
