Romeo and Juliet - Crystel S Chan,William Shakespeare
Wilde About The Girl - Louise Pentland
The Couple Next Door - 3.5 stars
Romeo and Juliet - dnf
Wilde About The Girl - 5 stars

Favorite book(s) of the month: Wilde About The Girl

Books started this month but haven't finished yet: Harry Potter, Moxie

Apparently the less books I read, the more time I need to actually post my wrap up. When it comes to reading this year, I just feel off. I love reading, I read all the time, but I don't finish any books and it's driving me up the wall. I mean I'm still one/two books ahead on my reading challenge, so I'm not THAT bad, but it still bothers me a lot.

The Couple Next Door!!!
The Couple Next Door - Shari Lapena

German and english review (spoilerfree)
First things first: I received this book through NetGalley.

'A Stranger In The House' ist schon auf meinem Tablet. Ich finde den Schreibstil einfach wirklich gut.

Summary: It all started at a dinner party. . .

A domestic suspense debut about a young couple and their apparently friendly neighbors--a twisty, rollercoaster ride of lies, betrayal, and the secrets between husbands and wives. . .

Anne and Marco Conti seem to have it all--a loving relationship, a wonderful home, and their beautiful baby, Cora. But one night when they are at a dinner party next door, a terrible crime is committed. Suspicion immediately focuses on the parents. But the truth is a much more complicated story.

Inside the curtained house, an unsettling account of what actually happened unfolds. Detective Rasbach knows that the panicked couple is hiding something. Both Anne and Marco soon discover that the other is keeping secrets, secrets they've kept for years.

What follows is the nerve-racking unraveling of a family--a chilling tale of deception, duplicity, and unfaithfulness that will keep you breathless until the final shocking twist.

Let's start with the positive. I really liked the writing a lot, it was suspenseful and just really entertaining. This book was such a fast read, I just flew from one chapter to the next. I'm such a big fan of short chapters and this book delivered. I think the suspense was there until the very end, there were so many twists and turns, most of them I saw coming, I still think it was shocking that the story developed like that and went there.

For me personally, this is a book that I loved for it's story and that really intrigued me. It wasn't about the characters, cause they were just unapproachable. I didn't like a single one of them. The decisions that were being made, the secrets that got out, and the things that were done. NOPE.

Still, I totally wanna read more books from the author. 'A Stranger In The House' is already on my tablet. I just really like her writing.

Review : This book was crazy these people are kinda fucked up . Anne and Marco left there baby at home alone and when they come back the door is open and the baby isn't there . Anne calls the cops and the detective is trying to find out what's going on . Anne has postpartum depression and the detective thinks Anne and Marco might of killed her . The detective asks why they left the baby alone and they explain the neighbor didn't want the baby there . I hated Cynthia she complained Anne wasn't fun because she had a baby like what the fuck . So apparently Marco's business wasn't doing well and he went to Anne's father for a loan and he said no so when drinking one night a guy comes up to Marco and they talk about doing a fake kidnapping so he kidnapped his own daughter mostly WTF but then the guy shows up dead . Anne's father was actually involved cause he wanted to leave his wife but he knew he had no money so he was arrested . Anne gets Cora back . Anne goes next door to talk to Cynthia she was having an affair with her father and Cynthia says the baby should of died and Anne freaking kills her but doesn't remember that how it ends WTF .
