Really enjoyed the peek back into Mickey Haller's world. Haller is dealing with the downturn of criminal cases by working foreclosure cases. Due to the economic downturn Haller has a ton of his cases. One of his clients though is accused of murdering the man she held responsible for taking her home.
There's a lot of twists and turns in this one.
I love how Connelly goes over time on his Haller books. I know on TV it seems like cases are brought to trial right away, but Haller and company have to invest every avenue.
We also have Mickey back together of sorts with his ex Maggie. He wants to make things more permanent, but Maggie still has issues with Mickey being a defense lawyer.
Loved the cool ending.
