This is book #2 in the Briar U series.  This book can be read as a standalone novel.  To avoid spoilers, and to fully understand this series, I recommend reading in order.

Jake wants to do the right thing by his team.  They count on him and look to him to lead.  Is it bad he is wanting the girl on of them used to be with?  

Brenna cannot stand Jake.  He has given her more than enough reason to want to lash out.  So how come his name came up when she needs a pretend boyfriend?

Theirs is a complicated story.  Being on different sides never stops anyone when feeling are involved.  These characters were more than the outside shows.  While they are both beautiful people, they both have pain from the past they must overcome.  I found their getting together inspiring.  Strong souls who fight for the heart.  I give this read a 4/5 Kitty's Paws UP!
