The religious festivals are Shantadurga in January, Feast of St Francis Xavier in December and Shigmotsav.

When to Visit Kerala?

This season starts in April and continues until the first week of June. This is the hottest time of the year. The climate is usually humid but grows pleasant as the evening comes. The festival of Guruvayoor Utsavam is celebrated in this season that you wouldn't want to miss. It is an ideal time for those people who wants to avoid the suffocating crowds and enjoy a lovey-dovey time alone. Furthermore, travelling in this season is quite cheap.

Places to Visit:

Wayanad: Known as the jewel crown of Kerala, is the most ideal location for a summer holiday stay. This extremely beautiful, calm and serene place is covered with lush green dense forests, spice plantations and mesmerising hills.

Kumarakom: It is a located in Kottayam district, is a famous backwater destination of Kerala. Along with the blackwater, the tourist can enjoy the famous mangrove forest and historical monuments.
