It's over! SOB! But it was GREAT!
Bound To Fate (Wayward #6) - Steven Cummings,Jim Zub,Tamara Bonvillian

Now this is how you finish a story. I am gutted that this story is over, but this was a damn fine series. The ending is worthy of the rest of the story, and works. Artwork is beautiful. I will miss this series, but it went out on a high note.

The Wayward Prince (Mind + Machine #2)
The Wayward Prince (Mind + Machine #2) - Hanna Dare

The first book showed a lot of promise, and this one continues to build on that. It still reads a lot like Firefly fanfic (with some Skynet shenanigans thrown in) but I'm enjoying it. Capt. Sebastian is still firmly rooted as Capt. Malcolm Reynolds in my mind, and Mags as Zoe and Simi as Kali. The other characters I have no issues seeing as themselves, but they also don't get as much page time, though we did get to know Lydia a bit more in this one. We also get to see Rylan and Jaime, but the focus of this book is Sebastian and his one-time lover Ren, from whom he stole his ship. Ren has a job for Sebastian and his crew - stealing back the Heart of Arcadia, the literal family jewel and heirloom to the monarchy.

Of course, things go wrong and there's much hijinks, and that was all fun. But I mostly enjoyed seeing more into Sebastian's head and getting to know Ren, who we meet here for the first time. Sebastian's got a lot of guilt over stealing the ship and running out on Ren the first time and is determined to make it up to him. Ren's trying to figure out where he fits in the 'verse, since finding the Heart of Arcadia will throw some complications into his life he'd rather avoid. The romance is pretty standard as far as M/M goes, but the MCs are engaging.

great follow up to book one!
The Wayward Prince (Mind + Machine #2) - Hanna Dare
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book. 4 years ago, Sebastian stole The Wayward Prince from a young man called Ren. Now, Rem is back and offering Sebastian and his crew a job. Can Sebastian and Ren part again, with their hearts intact? This is book two in the Mind + Machine series, and I would personally recommend you read book one, Machine Metal Magic, first. Jaime and Rylan plays a huge part here and there is some references to their story. Not necessary just a personal recommendation. I really enjoyed this one! It's a great follow up to book one. Not quite a five star read but so very nearly! It's also quite difficult to write a review for this book without giving anything away! There are plot twists all over, and I did not see a single one coming me! And the slightest slip up on my part would spoil that experience for someone else. So, this may well be very vague! Loved Sebastian. He thinks he's a bad egg but really has a heart of gold. He loves his ship and his on-board family, waifs and strays he's picked up, or indeed, they've picked Sebastian up. And Ren? Well let's just say he's a sweetheart, and he wants to do right by everyone, even to his own heartbreak. But loved his solution to that heartbreak! Loved the hints that come about each crew member's history! So many stories to tell, those people! It's told from both men's point of view so we get it all from both of them and you know how happy that makes me feel! Oh do you know what? I can't find anything wrong with this so . . . . 5 full stars. **same worded review will appear elsewhere**

RELEASE BLITZ & #GIVEAWAY - The Wayward Prince (Mind + Machine #2) by Hanna Dare
The Wayward Prince (Mind + Machine #2) - Hanna Dare

Spaceships, daring heists, and interstellar intrigue!

Since murderous AIs drove humanity from Earth more than a century before, people have been rebuilding civilization. That doesn't mean the galaxy is anywhere close to being civilized.

A liar and a scoundrel - and he's the good guy.

The thing that Captain Sebastian Garcia values most of all
is his ship, The Wayward Prince, and like most of his possessions, it's something that he stole. Now the ship's original owner has found Sebastian and he's looking to collect what he's owed.

When you want something stolen, call a professional.

Ren is someone Sebastian never expected to see again, and the one he never could forget. But Ren's not offering forgiveness. Unless Sebastian can pull off an
impossible heist on a distant planet he'll lose everything - including a second chance with the man he once betrayed and still cares for.

Happy Halloween, sitting here...and not getting a single trick or treater, we never have since I lived here (busy road).

I finished fewer books this month than I have with previous months, but I didn't too bad with 13.  I also managed to pull off a black-out on Halloween Bingo.  So yay me.  Again, most of my read books are technically Audiobooks, so hey, what can I say?  I really like them.  I had some decent books for the month, but I'm still feeling disappointed by The Darkest Star...I was really excited about it when I got approved for it on Netgalley.
