„Mit Meal Prep zum Wunschgewicht“ von Pascale Weeks und Aurélie Guerri ist meiner Meinung nach ein wirklich gut umgesetztes und in sich stimmiges Kochbuch mit generell spannenden Rezepten und diversen Alternativ-Optionen. Sämtliche Zutaten sind gut zu kaufen oder sind solche, die man bereits in der „Vorratskammer“ hat. Es werden im Grunde keine exotischen Dinge benötigt und die Rezepte sind durchweg pfiffig, aber schlicht. Die Aufmachung des Buchs ist dabei sehr übersichtlich und intuitiv gehalten, so dass das Nachkochen recht gut machbar ist. Die Wochenpläne orientieren sich ziemlich durchgängig an gesunder und ausgewogener Ernährung und können inhaltlich trotzdem je nach Geschmack gut angepasst werden. Einkaufslisten und präzise Vorgehensmuster, bzw. Anleitungen erleichtern die Herangehensweise dabei enorm und sind absolut zielführend. Ich fand die jeweilige Bebilderung sehr ansprechend und kann von den Gerichten, die ich bisher nachgekocht habe auch sagen, dass sie gut schmeckten und ankamen. Insgesamt lag mein Fokus allerdings nicht auf Gewichtsreduktion, wobei ich von den verwendeten Zutaten her (viel Gemüse und Gesundes) doch denke, dass sich hier auch ein gewisser Erfolg einstellen dürfte. Insgesamt ein schönes und inhaltlich brauchbares Meal-Prep-Kochbuch, deshalb dafür 5 Sterne und eine klare Empfehlung meinerseits!

Walter has received a promotion and life as he and April know it will change. First they move, get new furniture, look at boarding school, then April realizes more will change. As she meets the partners and their wives, she knows there is much she has not been told.

I liked April. I dislike Walter. The partners are on the periphery now. I suspect I'll learn more of them and their wives in the next episodes of this series. I think I know what will be going on. Something tells me I will never like Walter but I do not know if I will like any of the others.

This book is the set up for the series. The world building is good. I feel like April. I'm confused and at a loss as to what to expect and what is expected of April. I hope to find out soon what happens.

This is a retelling of all the Greek Myths that involve Circe, from her perspective.  There are some beautiful and poignant passages, some entertaining interpretations or inclusions of other myths (like Daedalus) but also a lot of bland sections.  I'm not particularly convinced by the author's interpretation of Circe as a naive, ignorant and stigmatized goddess.  The author also seems to cast almost every beautiful woman as a vapid or cruel slut.  However, I did enjoy this book despite my few gripes.
