I liked the story and how it ended but there were times during the book where I thought the new budding relationship between Kyle and Evan was either too fast paced or to slow. I found the little tidbits involving Kyle's grandfather interesting but a little sad. Overall it was a nice read.

Oh how to review this.... I liked the relationship, until it became overdone/repetitive. Didn't like the subplot at all (soap opera-ey!) I have read, and liked other works from this author, so I'll just consider this a one-off, for me.

3.5 stars. Good m/m romantic suspense about an author and a screenwriter who've been best friends since high school, even after a night together years ago left one brokenhearted and the other moving from guy to guy to avoid intimacy. As they take the train back to Ohio from Los Angeles for Christmas...

I thought this was a 'gay for you' theme but it's a m/m friends to lovers. While I love both tropes I was really hoping for a good 'gay for you' and because of that expectation I didn't enjoy the book quite a much as I might have. The writing is great, the characters are fully fleshed out and believ...
