Have you ever felt the ground shake, the tear in the earth's ground. It weeps in pain because of the death of its powerful hero. A kingdom is under attack and needs assistance in dealing with three dragons that are laying waste to the surrounding villages and its people. A group comes from the north to offer their help led by the king of Nethermore, Shyxeh, and his band of brothers. GENRE: FantasyWord count: 3598Reading Time: 19 mins.Book ExtractA dragon of Bronze color came lashing out from the sky and sent a burst of flame that enveloped those that were too close to hide or to run. We only had two swords and two shields, between that and us wouldn’t be enough to help these people. The cast was die and their destinies were sealed in a fate worse than death itself. Two other dragons appeared in Silver and Gold and all three ravaged the land that stood between them and the castle. We watched horrified as the bodies burned and purple, black and white flames engulfed all that stood in their path. The castle could be seen from a distance and looked ready and fortified for anything. The Dragons came down in formation and spewed its lava at the castle top. Men with shields held firm and kept them from getting any further by bombarding them with stones and spears. The Dragons turned and went back over the horizon and out of sight screaming their indignation as they went. The last we saw of them was the sight of their long tails as the mists and smoke encompassed where they were.A few minutes later King Frederic himself came out on the parapet of the castle and stood over the carnage on the ground. He shook his head in dismay at the senseless destruction and death. His booming voice carried across the land and said “I’m putting a bounty on the Three Dragons. Anyone from anywhere, that is willing to fight and eliminate this threat to my kingdom and all that it holds will be dearly rewarded. A proclamation will be sent via messenger to other territories in the area for whatever help we can attain. I swear by my father’s ghost, that these vermin will not take our land or our freedom.” It was a fine speech, all be it useless if no one stepped up.
