A welcome return from Darian Frey and the crew of the Ketty Jay. It meanders a bit in the middle, but still... Adventure, hilarity and character development! The whole thing was just really good fun.
I liked this better than Retribution Falls. While there's still too much internal monologuing (and angsting) for my taste, and while the plot is predictable (heist promising vast fortunes goes wrong - betrayal - revenge), I was never bored and always entertained. Some people didn't like this book as much as Retribution Falls, but I though Black Lung Captain was every bit as good as the first book. Wooding is definitely one of my favorite new authors and I can't wait to read more of his work.
