I read this on September 2nd 2012. It seems a bit much to count 31 pages as a book.
SO SO SOOOO freaking cute, you guys. If I have time I'll write up a mini-review sort of thing or something. Anyway, highly recommended to pretty much everyone.
The author's wink-wink acknowledgement that her story took quite a while to truly get started didn't make the beginning any less of a slog. But once it got going, it was quite good. I do enjoy her style, although, I'd imagine that others might categorize it as overwritten. I'd describe it as rich.
The more I read from Cat Valente, the more I love the way she writes. Lovely little story.
Again with the melancholy. Valente's Fairyland is a really cool place, with lots of truly unexpected denizens and it is utterly enchanting. But the mood is mournful.
