I had considered switching to audiobooks for the rest of the Discworld series for the sake of convenience (also, I really need to finish stitching that quilt I've been working on) but this book convinced me that would not be a good idea. There are just far too many jokes and puns that would not be a...

You know these early Pratchett books get better with time. This is a wonderful look at the danger of spellcraft and magic, and rose tinted glass.Of course, everyone loves Cohen. Finally, a May-December romance that makes sense.

Hilarious.......I was literally in tears laughing at some parts. Pratchett is a genius in my eyes. I hope Rincewind and Twoflower make future appearances in upcoming Discworld books.

Second verse same as the first, a little bit louder and a little bit . . . better, actually. The Light Fantastic gets an extra half-star for having a plot, which gives it an automatic leg up on its predecessor. I keep wanting to rate some of the earlier Discworld novels lower to make room for some of the later ones, but I just can't do it.

Turns out Pratchett works for me only in small doses. Tried to read this directly after Discworld #1. Will try again with this later... maybe.

Returning to Discworld in "The Light Fantastic", Terry Pratchett drops the reader right into the action as well as Rincewind and Twoflower, though rather unceremoniously into an enchanted forest. The inept wizard and tourist head back to Ankh-Morpork in a roundabout fashion including a quick stop to...

This is the sequel to the Colour of Magic, and the second book in the Discworld series. Now, the Discworld novels are not strictly sequential and while it is not necessary to read them in order, because the books tend to be grouped into the main characters (such as the Wyrd Sisters, Death, and Rince...

The Light Fantastic by Terry Pratchett has lots of witty humor and hilarious imagery. It takes place right where The Colour of Magic left off and continues the adventures of Rincewind and Twoflower and this time the fate of the Disc is at stake. It was a very enjoyable read and made me laugh so many...
