Buried deep in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains near the Appalachian Trail is a centuries-old secret known only to the Cherokee Indians who have passed the legend down through generations. When young history teacher, Katherine Lowe, disappears after a weekend of hiking and archaeological research on Blood Mountain in Georgia, her best friend, Andi Ross, begins her own search for the truth behind Katherine’s disappearance. Andi encounters a mysterious local outcast, Joseph Moon, who lives in a shack in the middle of the Chattahoochee Forest, and her suspicion of his involvement in Katherine’s disappearance escalates as she learns more of his troubled past. Her trust for Deputy Rainwater is frayed when a critical piece of evidence in the case is stolen and all suspicion points to him.Who can Andi trust in this supernatural tale of mystery, legend, and suspense? Will her own adventure on Blood Mountain lead her to the answer of Katherine’s disappearance, or will she become a victim to the legend of the Raven Mocker?
