Marianne decides to explore 12 popular self-help books over 12 months at the beginning of one year and discovers that they're not always helpful. If you're like me you've read a lot of self-help books and occasionally taken a few pieces of advice from them before inertia and time spent doing other...

This book gives a role new meaning to the word "bullshit". Do not approach the book. Do not stare directly at the book. Do not waste your time writing a decent review for the book.

This is the biggest case of "don't judge a book by its cover" you will ever come across. From the cover, it looks like a pretty damn good fantasy novel, or perhaps a nice bit of historical fiction. But no. It's some self-help bollocks that is some of the most pretentious self-loving twaddle I've eve...

I'm listening to this on audio because my daughter insists I need it in my life. I love her so I am subjecting myself to this for the third or fourth time. It has some good advice but is basically one note and focuses way too much on materialism for my liking. Be gracious, be thankful for what you h...

How do I even start to review this book. In the short time that it took me to finish it, it has changed my life completely. I feel happier and more content with what I have, and I feel hopeful for the future because I know it's all in my own hands. So many things make so much sense now. I got very d...

I'm just going to say it: This is the worst book I have ever read.I'm no expert on these types of books, it's definitely the first book I've ever read that fits into the "self help" category, but I hated it. Every page seemed like utter nonsense to me, and was overall a complete waste of time.

Good book as far as it goes. You do attract what you're thinking about, but you need action to get there.

This was a rough read—mostly because of the format, not because of the content. When you strip away all the quotes, there really isn’t a lot of content left. There are several quotes per page, leaving only a few lines of text to tie the quotes together. Amazon reviewer Longhorn24 (currently the high...
