This is the final book in the quartet, and wraps up the epic fantasy begun in The Naming. I had quite a lot of reading time today, between washing windows, doing laundry, visiting my local Costco and writing up my post for Chapter 1 of The Hobbit. I devoured this book in about four hours. This is ...
I am going to fucking kill you.And I am not joking.
I loved pretty much every bit of this story. It tied up every thread and brought the storylines of Hem and Maerad back together. As with every good YA story, good triumphs in the end. You couldn't ask for more than that. At least, I couldn't. :)
I didn't quite like all the POV switches, but that was all. Good book, great series. I'm grateful it wasn't great enough for me to be "reticent" for a few days.
It was amzing! I'm giving it four stars easy! I was a little diappointed with the epiloge I wish Alison Croggon had done something a little different but it was really good none-the-less. Croggon ties both Myraed's and Hem's stories together perfectly!
