I didn't really connect with the characters in the book or the story. Don't let that put you off, as I'm sure it was down to me just not getting into it.

I've started out reading these in the wrong order and while each story does stand alone, it would be better to read them in order to see the development of the detective, Hermes Diaktoros, who is an interesting character. I'm still waiting to find out what they deal is with his white shoes though! ...
