The writing is so very clumsy and juvenile. If I didn't know better I would think this novel was published by Harlequin Romances.

I thought this book had much more potential than what was delivered. The storyline was fantastic, but fell flat in its' writing. It was too bad because I think this book could have easily been a 4 star read.
I thoroughly enjoyed this gothic tale. A woman named Hallie who lost her mother in a house fire years ago loses her father only to find out that her life isn't what she thought it was. Her memories aren't true. Her mother didn't die all those years ago. And she's long forgotten the island she lived ...
