I will be honest when I reveal that I have had this in my library since it first came out last year. *gasp* I know....I know. When I bought it last year, I had many other books on my plate at the time, and I just totally kept forgetting to actually get my booty in gear and read this. Also ever since...

I generally don't care for reading about a kiddie all growed up. That did affect my impression a bit. Also, not being really in the mood. OTOH, it was pretty decent there - H is the master of mechanical stuff, h shares similar interest. Heroine has past, H helps her beat it. More impressive though...

What happened, JA? I guess I'm the minority here since most of readers seemed to enjoy this. Not me, though. Not me and that's what makes me sad because I truly enjoyed previous books in the series.I liked Daniel Mackenzie but not his heroine. I thought I could like Violet but the further I read, I ...

I really enjoyed Daniel and Violet's story. I think that Ashley did a good job making Daniel older, while maintaining his charming exuberance. I also really like Violet, she's pragmatic and while she's a fraud she's really just doing what she needs to in order to keep herself and her family safe a...

The mark of an excellent family series is that you enjoy seeing characters featured in earlier books and seeing how their lives are going. That didn't happen in this one - every time the Mackenzies showed up in this story, they just annoyed me with their tendency to dominate and take over the procee...

Anna Bobs Her Hair - Silent Reader, Talking Books
Was Daniel Mackensie's story worth the wait? (Years, people! YEARS!!!) It saddens me to say no. Each character had his/her strengths, but together they lacked chemistry. There were lovely declarations, sweet love scenes, a little bit of adventure; yet this story dragged. I wasn't convinced by Daniel...

I loved the first four books of this series, the ones that focus on the original four Mackenzie brothers: Hart, Mac, Cameron, and Ian. Later books in the series focus on more distant relations (this one is about Cameron's oldest son, Daniel), and like Stephanie Laurens' Bar Cynster series, things ar...
