I realize my rating is kind of harsh but I read this looking for a good mystery and what I got was a romance that I didn't necessarily enjoy. It wasn't a bad book which is why I am giving it a 2.5 but I'd feel like I wasn't being honest if I gave it a 3.
I would have given it four stars but the end wasn't good enough for me. The Witness is pretty good. It's one that I'll definitely read again. It was a little creepier than most of Sandra Brown's other books and a little darker. I loved the "hostage's" character. Definitely one of my favorite that she's written. I'll read it again after a little while ... the antagonist ...
