So sorry for this. Is it still happening? If so, does the reading date splits in two or is duplicated? When you Save the good dates, does the unwanted change still happen? We're investigating the issue. Waiting for your reply.

Well, no, but now the dates aren't showing up at all.

I just moved a book "seven flowers" to currently reading. The start date was added under +shelf advance but the start date column on the table remains blank - even after refreshing the page.

No more weird November 1999dates though, which is good. :)

Are the dates available in the pop up window when you click +Shelf Advanced?
Reply to post #573 (show post):

Yes, I can set the dates properly in shelf advanced area and they save properly- they just don't appear in the date read column or the date start column.

The original bug of random dates being added to the columns no matter what +shelf advance settings were seems to be gone - now they just appear to be blank.

Hopefully that's good information for you...I'm off to bed, fingers crossed for you guys for tomorrow's move!

Yes, happened today when I marked "Wild" as read.
Maybe important to know, usually is choose "Set today's date" and change the day to yesterday or the day before (in stead of having to choose year, month and day).

Hi, we've done some updates - could you please check your shelf table view and the ISBN column, the ISBN should be there. Waiting for your reply.

Hi, We're investigating your reading dates, we can see there are 3 dates inserted: 2 started (18 March and 26), 1 finished: 24 March.
- Does the start date was added additionally to your reading dates OR does the start date has been replaced with the wrong one?
- Can you please let us know which were inserted by you and which one was inserted automatically?
- Also, does the change appear after you click Save or before?
- If you update the dates to your own and Save, will the changes be Saved or do the wrong dates come back?
- Do you add dates in the book pop up on Shelf, shelf table view or Finished button on Dashboard (right column)?
Waiting for your reply.

Searching via ISBN on my shelves works - and wow, that was fast!!! :D

Thanks!

Ok, as a test, I just went to my "Planning to Read" shelf and changed isbn 9781938383366 (Double Whammy) to "Currently Reading" and refreshed the page. The "start reading" column is still empty. I checked the "+shelf advanced" and the start date is listed as today 27/3.

Checking my "Read" shelf, however, the "start reading" and "end reading" columns are both populated correctly.

Does that help?

- Wild initally was marked as "currently reading" with start date 18 March.
- I finished reading 24 March. It wasn't untill 26 March that I was able to update the book on Booklikes.
- All changes are made on the Shelf page - book pop up. Click on the cover - click currently reading - click shelf advanced. Switch from "currently reading" to "read". Click "Set today's date" for "Finished reading". Change the day (for this book from 26 to 24) and click Save.
- When I go to my "Read" shelf, the reread sign appears. There is automatically a start date with today's date (in case of Wild: 26 March). 18 and 24 were added by me, 26 was automatically added (the change was made on the 26th.)
- When I remove the incorrect start date and save, then go to another shelf, and back to the read shelf, the reread sign is back. It seems not possible to remove the reread.
- I tried marking as finished a new book from the Dashboard, that works OK, no reread.
