Yes, she's also no longer on GR. Didn't she say she was a user on other book related websites?
I hope she's okay, but she wouldn't be the first one to vanish completely - anyone remember Killer Rabbit for example?

No, it's not typical of her at all. She wouldn't just disappear into thin air without a word to the people she's been interacting with on almost a daily basis for more than 2 years (here and GR). This is not like her. I am worried and will continue to worry until I have some kind of definitive answer as to what happened. Hopefully, someone will be able to get in contact with her soon. I've asked some of our mutual friends on GR to see if they'd heard from her. I'll let you guys know.

Just a thought: Could it be that she's been hacked? Maybe if she used the same login info here and on GR, somebody was able to delete both her acoounts.

Melissa's account was duplicated, so most likely they can 'clone' the account. Whether or not they can reinstate all the comments/etc/followers is another question. Or if they can use the same account name is yet to be seen.

That could definitely account for it, too. If so, that's just awful.

Bookstooge, a friend on GR seconded what you said about it just having happened a few hours ago. She said HfK was posting comments on GR as of earlier today, and her comments were related to world news. Nothing about issues related to GR or BL or leaving the sites.

Posts past 1006 here are currently invisible to me, though I keep getting notifications.
