According to the ugly green hate site STGRB a blogger who doesn´t love a book because of its faults, which even the author herself admits are there - crappy editing is one of them - is "mentally ill", and the same as a school shooter. How low can you go, Athelissa? Yeah, we know - really low.

How can anyone think that calling someone mentally ill because of how they appear in a photo ISN'T bullying? How deluded are these people.

I think AnonPerson should worry a lot more about her own problems. The idea that she can always PICK THEM OUT (as if a depressed person is some alien life form) is nonsensical.

She's become hysterical in her panic.

A depressed girl on meds likely looks like anyone else on the street, since depression medications can do a lot to stabilize a depressed person. She may walk by them everyday, without being able to PICK THEM OUT.

Since she hasn't figured it out, the whole reason depressed people take medication is to help them NOT BE DEPRESSED.

Sadly, there's no medication that can fix AnonPerson's stupidity and prejudice towards the vast majority of people suffering from depression.
I sense a lot of the hate on STGRB the last few days is a result of the AR/STGRB petition dying a slow death. With the amount of attention AR received the last month, less than 7000 signatures is pathetic. I don't doubt it's frustrating for Melissa and her sheep to see another attempt to harm readers fail. So they're siding with an author angry over a bad review. They're not even pretending it's not about the review either.
Melissa posted a new attack on a reader. Nothing interesting since she's been obsessed with this reader since the beginning of the hate site. I did think this part of the post was funny...
(hide spoiler) (show spoiler)

Another petition started around the same time has over 44,000 signatures. This one is to stop a single dog from being euthanized and I doubt a best selling author with a million fans on Facebook took to the media to promote it.
I don't give a shit what anyone signing the petition says. So long as PUBLISHERS are okay with me being anonymous, I'll keep doing it.

I'll only review on my blog if I have to.

I'll only read books I've bought myself by traditional publishers.

I don't care. No one is forcing my hand. I am anonymous for a reason, dickheads.

Back to some highlights about the "real name" petition. First the ugly green hate site STGRB encourages to sign it with fake names, now Anne Rice does not recommend authors to sign. Lets repeat this:

Anne Rice does not recommend authors to sign the Todd petition.

Of course Anne Rice still supports STGRB, so its not that she has cut ties with the crappiest website on the internet, or all those "anons" she is so against - when it comes to Amazon reviews, that is.

(hide spoiler) (show spoiler)

However, I think its comical that one of her "people of the page" freely admits of having signed the petition four times with four different email accounts. To protect his privacy I have blacked out his avatar and name. Not that he is getting harrassed for using his real name by Anne Rice fans or other "ganster bullies", you know?

(hide spoiler) (show spoiler)

All Anne Rice does is scaring the wits out of authors. There is this one chick who is now so scared of customer reviews that she relies solely on peer reviews. I am not posting a SS since she is in such a "fragile state in her writing".

Yes, Todd, with allies like this you can pretty much throw your "real name" petition in the trash can. Again, how many fake names are on the petition by now? It lacks credibility when your own "supporters" using fake names and encouraging others to do the same, and now with Anne Rice herself not recommending autors to sign the petition... well, I guess, it was fun while it lasted. Have a beer instead. :)
STGRB was able to get a few posts removed , but only from the one blog (BBA Whisperer). The SS are posted on various blogs and other locations. They'll be busy trying to get them all removed since they aren't even sure where they're at and enough people have made SS. Hmm...

I haven't received anything from Google. I guess if Melissa wants to go the lawyer route, I might need to get one too and finally reveal the owner of STGRB. The hate site has posted things about me without any evidence. I never worked at Goodreads. I never screwed anyone at Goodreads. Juno, Kathy, and Eve weren't banned because of me. STGRB stated those lies as facts.

You know, I have a public career and should really look into legally punishing STGRB for harming my brand. I know Melissa works in IT. When I worked in IT, I made nice $$$. This legal stuff might open up a whole new revenue source for me.
Clearly, no one reads STGRB except us because "anon" wrote this duh...

STGRB's inside man from last year took conversations from my private group...
(hide spoiler) (show spoiler)

Oops, did someone not know STGRB did it first? Now, "Athena" lives in CA, so she's broken the state's privacy laws. I'm sure Utah's privacy laws are similar. How difficult will it be for me to show long term harassment by STGRB? With the lies they've printed and never a single SS to back up anything, the privacy stuff will be the cherry on top.

The best part is we will be able to finally reveal the author behind STGRB. The site will end once MD is outed, leaving readers and authors safe from its hate.

Emma makes a very good point...

I'm pretty shocked by the low number of signatures on the petition. AR has over a million likes on her FB page and she's pushed this petition hard. All of the international attention she received for it too and it's a flop. Despite what people say to AR, most either don't care about whiny authors or believe anon posting is a good thing. I guess this experience is a good reminder how celebrity can bring attention to something, but it won't seal the deal.

The post with SS from my old private group is "missing." She hides things then brings them back. It's a game she plays. Like how she approves a nasty message attacking the mentally ill then deletes it. Doesn't matter since we have all the posts in our offsite private group. We have her attack on Kristen Middleton that she deleted. Her attack on Lauren Pippa that she deleted. I also have the post where she used my profile picture to trash me. Oh, and she posted on STGRB the private SS from those groups and messages with Julia. If the information was private, why did STGRB post them for everyone to see?

We have records of everything she's written about me, Miranda, and everyone else. STGRB has harmed a lot of people and that's why MD hides behind anon handles. She thinks it protects her from legal consequences. No one has cared enough to sue the site and go after MD. If I need to spend money on a lawyer anyway then I might as well make MD pay for what she's written about me and everyone else. In fact, she wrote about me first and blogged about me for six months before I had my blog up. She would be the aggressor including her "inside man" who "stole" SS from my group. I really don't care about the others. MD has the money (check out her resume) and she's the one who runs the hate site.

Back when I was still on GR the ugly green hate site also posted publicly a private message I sent to another member approx one year ago. I guess that means that STGRB deliberately and with full knowledge violated privacy laws. Isn´t GR based in CA, or am I mistaken now? I am going to ask their customer support what they have to say about the matter since it affects Goodreads as well. I still have the screenshot from the ugly green hate site STGRB which shows they have violated my privacy as well. And they have probably violated more than only one law, with full knowledge coz they think they are beyond legal repercussions...
Excellent article from "Dear Author" which is worth a read IMO

Anonymity, Transparency, and Online Book Reviewing , March 18, 2014

Anonymity, Transparency, and Online Book Reviewing
Dear Author often write very good posts, I see this is another one: eloquent, pointed, and even objective, as much as I don't necessarily agree with objectiveness.

I especially liked the "most of the dishonesty is clustered on the positive end of the scale." Team that with Amazon Canada's breach of privacy which revealed it's often authors writing nasty/fake reviews, and it brings this 'bullying reviewers' into a whole new light.
I don’t think Melissa looked at the SS she posted. There are four requirements to break the privacy law she cited. Numbers 2 and 3 are dubious at best, but number four sinks the argument.

This was what I was told:

Athena Parker is the owner of the website Stop the GR Bullies. For more than a year, the site targeted over a hundred readers and authors. The site was also featured on high profile media outlets such as Huffington Post, Salon, and recently Time.com. Parker is one of the administrators of the Anti-Troll Alliance group. Her behavior is of public concern.

The screenshots prove Parker was more than privy to the group’s activities. She was also complicit in a collaborative effort to damage private property (GR database), manipulate the review voting process on Amazon, and target a number of readers and authors. The information from the group assisted in the removal of several improper accounts (socks) and an author from the Goodreads site. Thus, the screenshots are of public importance. They could even assist in legal proceedings by those targeted on the Stop the GR Bullies site.
