I'm Shambhawi, 18 years old and obsessed with YA books. I'm from Nepal and I've not met many people from my part of the world around the reading community. My other obsessions are coffee and watching reruns of Phineas and Ferb.
Hi! I'm Kara, I'm a senior in college who's majoring in history but plans to go to grad school to be a children's/YA librarian. I'm from PA and I absolutely love reading! Other things that I absolutely love include my fiance, my family, my friends/sorority sisters, Netflix (I'm a HUGE tv junkie!), and pizza :)

@Valz New Adult is a relatively new genre with the protagonists between 17-25 years old. It is directed towards older audiences with more mature topics. Almost like a bridge between YA and adult books.

I have an hour and half commute to work each way so a lot of the "reading" I do now is in the form of audiobooks. I prefer actually reading the words myself, but audiobooks make my drive seem much shorter. In addition to reading, I love playing PC games (Civ V is my current favorite) and writing poetry.

I'm Danielle, 18, and majoring in Theatre Arts. YA is the best genre to read -- more entertaining, fun, and just an incredible adventure to experience. I try to keep an open mind when reading, though I quickly get impatient. Though I'm from the city, I have this country side to me (not just saying y'all 24/7 LOL!): I love farms and small villages. I listen to a variety of music genres (yes, yes, country included). I LOVE laughing, and I hate being stressed. Just looking forward to what life has in store for me (the same goes for books).

So I'm a YA junkie, a social network noob outside GR, here to keep in touch with buddies I've made and hoping to meet more like minded folks. but back to books: while I love contemporary reads that lean toward the darker grittier more emotional tales, I do in fact read just about everything.
Hi, all. I read most anything, but YA is a favorite. I live in Oklahoma in the US, and am old enough to be a grandma, but I'm not one. I do have creatures, cats and dogs, and I also work with creatures, dog-training, feral cat management, pet rescue, and pet therapy.
I also like movies, tv, food, gardening, family and friends, and meeting new people -- this list is not in the correct prioritization, but oh well.
