Are just getting into the shifter/were genre and are wondering where to start? Here's a list of some widely read shifter books/series (over 10,000 GR ratings) to help you on your way. :)

Anita Blake by Laurell K. Hamilton
Mercy Thompson by Patricia Briggs
Women of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong
Alpha & Omega by Patricia Briggs
Fever by Karen Marie Moning
Parasol Protectorate by Gail Carriger
Kate Daniels by Ilona Andrews
Immortals after Dark by Kresley Cole
Night Play by Sherrilyn Kenyon
The Iron Druid Chronicles by Kevin Hearne
Psy-Changeling by Nalini Singh
Stray (Shifter) by Rachel Vincent
Riley Jenson by Keri Arthur
Kitty Norville by Carrie Vaughn
Elder Races by Thea Harrison
Law of the Lycans by Nicky Charles
You Slay Me by Katie MacAlister
Pride series by Shelly Laurenston
Jane Yellowrock by Faith Hunter
Cycle of the Werewolf by Stephen King

There were a number of YA books that fell into this category, so I grouped them separately:

Twilight (love it or hate it, lol!)
Seraphina by Rachel Hartman
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
The Reckoning by Kelley Armstrong
Nightshade by Andrea Cremer
Firelight by Sophie Jordan
The Gathering by Kelley Armstrong
Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause
The Dark Divine by Bree Despain
Raised by Wolves by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Grey Wolves by Quinn Loftis
Tiger Saga by Colleen Houck
Hawksong by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes
Fins by Tera Lynn Childs
Born at Midnight by C.C. Hunter
Haha, I just came to make sure you got Jane Yellowrock series by Faith Hunter. Those are my favorites so far. I'm looking forward to checking out many more on the list :)
I'm listening to book 3 of the IDC and loving the series. It's frustrating though and a little annoying that I can't follow through with the same narrator. After book 3 the rest 'are not available in my area due to publishing rights' so I guess I'll have to get the books.
