Some of us are going to be starting this book in a few days. It was free on Amazon for a couple of days this week so maybe some of you nabbed it. If so, or if it sounds interestingto you, join us for a group read!
Hi, going to start Innkeeping With Murder to day.
I'm about 20% done, I really like it so far. My BL Dashboard won't load, you having any problems?
I'll start it today. The Olympics have really cut into my reading time! lol! No, I'm not having any trouble with my dashboard.
Hopefully, I will finish this one today since I have to spend about 4 hours riding in the car. So many books, so little time!
You're able to read in the car, you don't get car sick? Am looking forward to 'talking' with you about it.
I've been reading in the car all my life. Doesn't seem to bother me at all. Sometime I prefer audiobooks in the car but that really cuts you off from interacting with the other people that are with you.
I finished this yesterday and I quite enjoyed it! Especially considering it was an Amazon freebie. I liked the characters and the setting. I hadn't read the description close enough to realize it was paranormal, which I usually don't read, but that aspect didn't bother me in this one.
Agreed! I didn't realize it was paranormal either, or I would have skipped it. I thought it could have used a good editor. Too much extraneous detail, which I could have done without, & did, it got so I just skimmed that. Also, how many times did someone cry 'a tear', or have 'a tear' in their eye? Just one, every time, with everyone? That actually irritated me. But, those were small irritations, I also enjoyed the book, & the people involved in the mystery was more complicated than I expected, which I also enjoyed.

I'm ready to move on to my next one. Just an FYI, I registered with Book Bub & this was one of their suggestions, I get quite a few from them.
I hadn't noticed the tear thing but now that you mention it, that's a kind of strange thing for the author to use more than once. I thought the answer to the mystery was telegraphed fairly early in the story, or at least where it was going to go was telegraphed fairly early even if all the details weren't. I suspected Sybil as soon as she offered to keep the dogs.
