Wow! A story of resilience. The H struggles thru overcoming his addiction to opium due to war injuries. He wants to be a better man for the h (sigh). The h has always loved the H & is insistent on staying by the H's side no matter what. This is a special book!

Surprizeingly good. The fact that the hero is addicted to morphine is well writen and very belivable. The heroine is smart and learns from her mistakes. Also she acts like a 18 year old.
