A defence lawyer is murdered, and Dalgliesh & co have to try and find out who did it.This is the first P.D. James book I've read, and after the suspects start to pile up with various reasons why it could be them, the rest of the book fizzles out.The ending was a disappointment.

Probably the best Inspector Daglish book I have read thus far. An incredibly fast read which sucked me in very quickly and didn't stop until the end.
Typical P D James mystery. I liked it.
