Beaumont's kid, and the determined Seattle homicide detective won't rest until her killer pays dearly. I have now read two mysteries by J. A. Vance, Hour of the Hunter and this one, Until Proven Guilty. While the former was different due to its setting in Arizona tribal lands and its use of tribal legends, Until Proven Guilty is a more straight-forward detective novel and high on the adrenaline meter...

I had a strong feeling that I had read this when I began. At page 55, oh, yes, I've read it. Neglected to enter it since I read it just before joining Goodreads. It was good though and intend to read more Jance.

good read, the plot may have been a little implausible but i liked the main character, j p beaumont, so much, it didn't matter. since this was the first in a series that began in 1985, i can only imagine ms. jance has improved with age! will want to read more in the series.
