Before she can change into her "work clothes" after an evening out with her husband, Lieutenant Eve Dallas is called to a crime scene in Central Park. There's a body under the Belvedere Castle. A woman's body, naked, bruised, raped, with a red ribbon tied snugly around her neck, her hands clasped be...
This was a light and easy impulse read before I embark again on my more literary projects. I've read a couple of these "In Death" mysteries before; they're set in the 2050s in an entirely recognizable New York City. I had no trouble navigating the relatively minor tweaks that Robb introduces to make...
A serial killer is lose in NYC and he takes the eyes of the women he has raped and killed. Eve gets the case and she finds other cases of missing persons that may be related. She also has a psychic who tells her she has visions of the murders. It gets more personal when Peabody is attacked.I like th...
The end of this book is completely random. Someone else is connected to this case and it just seems so surreal to me, even after reading it. Nothing else to say, really. Why are so many of Eve's cases sexual homicides?
Another Eve Dallas story where Eve finds out that having friends is a good thing while she investigates a nasty serial killer, while being fed information from a psychic. A great twist in the tail as well!
Out of all the books that have read in this series this is the one that made my heart hurt the most for Eve Dallas and nearly gave me a heart attack by the time it ended! There is so much pain and anguish in this story that you cannot help but feel relieved when it is over and yet at the same time so...
Intense! This was an excellent book in a series that I love. I couldn't put it down. Definitely going to continue to read about Eve and Roarke, and all the rest of the cast of this wonderful futuristic cop series.
(Audio version) This is my second time reading Visions in Death, and I liked it better this time around. As always, Susan Ericksen does a good job overall though I still don't like how she voices Peabody. The really sharp detective ends up sounding like a doofus. Other than that, though, it's a go...
While I did enjoy the 18th installment in Robb’s In Death Series, it didn’t get the 5 star rating her previous books received because while all the ingredients which make this series a must read were present, they were sparsely applied & left me with a somewhat bland though filling read. The series...
