Thirteen years ago, Eli went on a summer trip with his mother and never came back. Now, existing in a new life as Jacob Somerville, he's again running from fear and memories, only to end up where he started. As Jacob struggles to reconnect with his father and brothers, he realizes that his lover, Craig Zhao, was the only thing filling his empty heart and standing between him and ghosts of the past. It will take the power of love - from his family, from Craig, and from himself - for Jacob to see that his life truly is filled with the promise of what can be.

5.0 This really was more about the Mary Calmes than the Christmas, or at least...
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I gave this one 5 stars when I originally read it and I'm sticking with that. I loved this story when I read it back in 2011...seriously that's how long ago I read this so...sorry there's no review by me for this one. I wasn't writing them back then...sorry....

It's about Eli-Jory...a 28 year old young man with secrets...a past life kept secret from his current and a current life kept s...

I did like how this was a little different from her usual reads. I liked the scene where Craig calms Eli down. It was sad to finally hear the real story from Eli...But things just got too melodramatic, which is typical for Mary Calmes's stories. I wanted to like this more than I did, but I couldn't ...

Well color my ass surprised. I want to give this 3.5 because there were some moments that felt a bit rushed, over the top, and not developed, but fuck it. I liked this.
