Of the characters in The Mortal Instruments series and The Infernal Devices series, it's fair to say that Magnus Bane is the most interesting. When I discovered these short stories, I chose to read them to learn more about his life before his entanglements with the shadowhunters. Being immortal, it...

Well, that was fabulous. No, really. Why didn't anyone tell me that Magnus Bane is freaking hilarious? My favorite part by far was his horrid music. Honestly, Magnus, when llamas judge you and run away in packs, it's time to rethink your hobbies. His obliviousness is truly endearing, though I susp...

A series dedicated to Magnus Bane? Oh c'mon, who doesn't like a hot warlock? With those cat-like eyes? Seriously, when I found out that Cassandra Clare released stories all about Bane, I thought I was the happiest person ever on earth, because the first three books of the Mortal Instruments had limi...

I literally don't care that not that much happened in this book. I love Magnus so much. And if you don't think drunk Magnus and his flying carpet are hilarious, I don't trust you. This book gets extra stars for making me laugh out loud several times.

It was good for fans of Magnus'. It was no where near the quality of TID or TMI. Still a good, quick read!

Magnus Bane is one of the more intriguing characters in the Mortal Instruments series, so I had high hopes for this novella. Unfortunately, while this is a fairly fun read, we don't really learn anything that The Mortal Instruments or The Infernal Devices series hadn't already told us. We don't eve...

The writing in this story, while far from bad, is not nearly as good as the Cassandra Clare standard I have come to adore. That said, Magnus is still one of my all-time favorite fictional characters, and any story starring him is guaranteed to make me very very happy indeed. Plus it gives me lots of...
