How could I not enjoy a book that references one of my favorites, A Wrinkle in Time??? I'm not sure this one will become quite the classic, but it was definitely a very good book.(I'm on a bit of a Newbery kick at the moment, I have another to post and am reading yet another...)

First - I've marked this as both middle grade and YA fiction, bc I can't really decide where to place it: the main character is 12, but some of the concepts might be a little bit advanced for some middle grade readers (Did you also happen to notice that I shelved it on "books I am too dumb for? So ...

Seen at City of Books When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead is the second book I have read by Rebecca Stead. The first was Liar & Spy which was my impetus for reading When You Reach Me. When You Reach Me is a science-fiction contemporary mystery unlike Liar & Spy. When You Reach Me is the story o...

I wasn't sure I would enjoy this one, since It was a book I picked out for a lit class, but I ended up Loving it! It had a great story line. And time travel has got to be a hard concept to capture, and Rebecca did it awesomely.

This book reads like a love poem to Madeline L'Engle's A WRINKLE IN TIME--and since I loved that book, I couldn't help but appreciate this one. Tesser well, friends.

It kinda made me sad that I never read a Wrinkle in Time. I may read it now as a result but wonder if I will enjoy it.

This is a cleverly written "slice of life" tale that transcends age, gender, and race and is a great story that anyone and everyone can enjoy. This book twists and turns and mean...

I liked this book, that much is easy to say. I liked the fluidity of the writing, and characters, the way it tied in A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle in a way that doesn't make me cringe (I personally wasn't a huge fan of the A Wrinkle in Time). I thought the characters were well written, fles...

I’ve heard lots of happy buzz about this book. I liked it, but I didn’t love it and I wanted to love it. Fun puzzle of a plot that fits together perfectly. Characters that intrigued me. I don’t know why I didn’t love it. Probably just an off day.
