2.5 starsI had a chance to read both the original and the reissue. I give the original a 1 star and the reissue a 3.

I have the unrevised version of the story, and it should've ended five chapters before it actually did. 3.3/5 stars

Everyone ranted about the rape scene so I was prepared to hate this one, but... sorry, I didn't. I don't agree with the rape, but unlike a lot of authors, the rape isn't glorified as romantic. It's used in the context of something a man at the time might have done and felt was his right after everyt...

Cracktastic. The author has released an "updated" version which is the one I read. Clayton is an asshat, to be sure, but I'm not sorry I read it at all.

Re-read: July 13-14,2012I was in a reading rut for a couple of days and finally decided to pick this one up again. Oh, how I've missed Judith McNaught's men. Dark, rakish, brooding, powerful, imposing and stubborn but at the same time attractive, loving, honest and loyal. This story didn't piss me o...

I'd love to give this book more stars, but I can't help but relate to the many reviews here that point out the numerous flaws in this schizophrenic romance. It's tough to accept a "happy ending" when the Hero is such a jerk who leaps to remarkable unfounded conclusions at the drop of a hat, and a He...

I don't know how stars to give it 3 or 4, but i think 3.5 is perfect for it.I liked this book but it wasn't one of my favorites, the book was way to long there was a lot happening and in the same time nothing important, The end was good but kind of empty but still beautifully written and I don't kno...

I was just as emotionally invested in these characters as I was with the ones in Kingdom of Dreams. Whitney is simply wonderful. She was a headstrong, flighty child with no sense of propriety, and a ridiculously romantic side. She grows up ashamed of herself, because she is also self-aware and re...

Interesting. Everything about this romance novel promises another sugar sweet love story, including a rich and handsome hero, his object of desire an adorable virgin and much Mars and Venus inflicted drama. This McNaught is promoted as "The ultimate love story; one you can dream about forever". In r...
